Nice pics mikey, where did you meet her though? I'm assuming she doesn't just walk round looking like that lol

Haha no she doesn't. I went to Tutbury Castle today in Staffordshire. She is the Curator there and dresses up like that for when schools visit. I was the first person in there today just after a school had been and she asked if i wanted to take photos. I got a photo taken with her as well. lol

I should add that she is dressed as Mary Queen of Scots because she was incarcerated there on several occasions as a prisoner.

Oh and I must admit I had to have a little chuckle at 'Tutbury castle', be like someone with a stutter trying to say it's name if you did something wrong!!

What camera have you got by the way? I'm a long way off getting one but wanna do some research and do it properly cause i've got fvck all clue about photography if I'm honest!

I just got a new camera. My new one is a Canon EOS 550D. Before, i had a Sony A200. The results with this new one are awesome. Plus it does HD movies as well.

Anyone that watches or has seen Most Haunted should probably recognise this lady. It's Lesley Smith from the show.

She was kind enough to pose for me today, on meeting her.

Went just days after coming back from Venice and although it wasn't quite the same, I had no idea how beautiful it was up there. It's an amazing city.

Was only there for about 36 hours so there's definitely going to be another trip up there sometime soon.

Really like the one of the stained glass window lighting the fireplace. Very nice.

lol it's a bit buggered hence buying a new one although i wanted a new one before it got buggered though so that was the perfect excuse. haha

I'm actually going to get it fixed eventually so it's a spare camera in case anything should happen to the new one. Always good to have a couple.

Been asked to do a wedding in July but dunno if i'm quite at that level! The thought of it is exciting but at the same time, should anything go wrong it's my ass that will get kicked if the photos turn out crap. lol

Weddings aren't so much about lighting and focus and technical stuff as getting lots of people to stand in the right place at the same time.

My uncle, who's a keen amateur photographer, did ours as a wedding present and they look as good as any professional ones (and better than some I've seen!)

Oh and AJthefox, great picks, especially the stained glass casting on the wall. I'm guessing the panoramas were taken from Arthur's Seat? Always wanted to go up there. T^he Scott Monument would make a good piccy!

Just one that is not particualrly artistic or well structured, but it amused me as the guy poppped up just as i was about to snap a pic.

They're from different places actually, I've no idea what Arthurs Seat is though.

The first is up on the hill where the observatory and the Pantheon are, Canton Hill maybe? I may well have a picture of the Scott Monument because I've got another 150 odd photos from the little time I was there, but I'm not too sure what it is lol

The second panorama is the other side of Holyrood and the Parliament building.

How good is Riga, i also saw the sun rise from there while i was passed out in an alley way chewing the fat with some blind (not from drinking) classical music buskers.

I had an ace time. I also managed to watch the Forest game in the Victory.

Anyway, here are my pictures of the sunrise. Given I'd been up all night drinking and frequenting Turkebab I'm quite pleased with how these turned out, especially since I only have one of these (best point and shoot I've ever owned and you can get one for £100)

While at work...? Did you not realise it was there before then? lol

Bus driver - I'd just done a school run, its my fav skiving spot, before going back to the depot.

Sat there many times and never even noticed it, <_<
