i was walking home yesterday and, despite bright low sunshine, it pissed it down - i got drenched but it was worth it as the light was awesome.

all taken on my mobile, edited for contrast & noise:

Hey man im new round here, i took these back in league 1 haha.

hope you like them.

Both excellent, would look great as framed poster prints. I love the forlorn feeling that comes from the Oakley one, it generates an effective "end of the world feeling" (not sure if that's what you were intending but anyway, like it!)

Just thought i'd add this link to the BBC weather website. You can send in photos and they more often than not publish them on there. I've sent in quite a few this year and they always seem to get published.

I come to this thread seeking advice, again...!

Sports photography with DSLRs, mainly football and netball, any CHEAP(!) ones out there? And good lenses? I am a newbie trying to learn :P

Hi guys, going self employed as a photographer soon and have made a facebook page, so if anyone wants to have a look at my photographs and like my page please do :) All you have to do is; in the facebook search bar type in Benedict Cassie Photography

I will try and upload lots more photographs soon. There are some recent ones of a Cardiff - Preston match I covered the other day, including some of old Humey.

Any comments would be gratefully appreciated.

Sports photography with DSLRs, mainly football and netball, any CHEAP(!) ones out there? And good lenses? I am a newbie trying to learn :P

Nothing cheap in sports photography I am afraid. You need big lenses with big apertures, both of which are considerably expensive. But if you have a DSLR with a standard lens perhaps 18-55 or 18-105 (even better) just try and get very close to the action, everyone has to start somewhere with something. Do you have any equipment ?

I'm not a photographer by any means but I like taking photos.
