Unabomber Posted 30 November 2008 Posted 30 November 2008 Howard - 3. Yet another p!sspoor performance against 4th div opposition. Nigel, get rid. Were you at the game because that is a fooking nonsense.
Jonezy Posted 30 November 2008 Posted 30 November 2008 Even through a blurry internet version of the game, Howard was one of our top players. Impressed with how he time after time chested down the ball and kept the ball moving, was vital for our attack. Also I know Adams didn't play very well, but you can put the whole defense and midfield in that bracket so why single him out, when he actually provided an assist for the first goal? Oh, and Milan. Sign that Fryatt chap up now. Just give him the reasonable release clause he wants, he is our ticket out of here.
Candidcamera Posted 30 November 2008 Posted 30 November 2008 I watched the match on the link from the Board to the TV coverage which was excellent. Martin 8 Edworthy 7 Morrison 5 Tunchev 5 Mattock 4 Adams 6 King 6 Berner 5 Dyer 7 Howard 5 Fryatt 9 There player Ritchie on loan from Portsmouth was terrific. Another to think about in the tranfer window.
James. Posted 30 November 2008 Posted 30 November 2008 Ultra, I'm not having a go but I'm intrigued as to how you can rate him 3 whereas everyone else so far has given him at least 7. Yes there are different opinions and everyone is entitled to their own but could you briefly explain for the benefit of those that didn't see the game (or saw it through some blurred internet stream while actually watching Wales in the rugby) why you thought he was so bad? Ultra? Hello?
Bert Posted 30 November 2008 Posted 30 November 2008 Martin 6 - Made some good saves, doesn't like to hold on to the ball though. Edworthy 6 - Solid Mattock 5 - Wasn't up to standard yesterday. Morrison 5 - He's come on these past few weeks, but still scares me. Tunch 6 - Found wanting a bit yesterday, but generally solid and reliable. Adams 4 - Apart from his assist he contributed nothing. Dyer 5 - Can't really remember what he done, but he always looks dangerous. King 6 - Started off shit, but gradually improved as the game wore on. Berner 5 - Looked like a lost baby at times. Fryatt 9 - Hat-trick says it all. Howard 8 - Won everything in the air. Powell 5 - Did nothing. Davies 6 - Looks handy.

robbie-p Posted 2 December 2008 Posted 2 December 2008 i don't see why people hate howard so much, he's a lot like emile heskey, doesn't score much but scares the hell outa defenders n holds the ball up If anyone saw the s****horpe game, you would know that we need howard, we kept on hoofing the ball up field and campbell can hardly flick it on to fryatt so we lost it every time, even if he doesn't score, who cares as long as fryatt, king, oakley etc are?
okie fox Posted 3 December 2008 Posted 3 December 2008 Forgive me for not being at the game, but I'm 5000 miles away. I did watch it carefully on TV. Martin 8 A couple of great saves Edworthy 6 Steady Morrison 7 Great in the air Tunchev 6 Apparently an off day Mattock 6 OK Adams 6 Assist on first goal, 3-4 crosses in the danger zone Berner 5 Didn't control the center of midfield King 5 Same as above Dyer 5 Not in the game much Fryatt 8 Great control on first goal, good finish on third Howard 7 Good flick ons, played the Heskey role well Powell 5 Shaky, dived in once & well beaten Davies 6 Showed signs he might be good
Corky Posted 3 December 2008 Posted 3 December 2008 I can't recall one "great" cross. That's because there weren't any. What about for Fryatt's first goal?
Bert Posted 3 December 2008 Posted 3 December 2008 What about for Fryatt's first goal? If it wasn't for a sublime touch and turn by Fryatt, it would've been a poor cross.
