Posh Pre-Match Thread

I saw Posh play Tramere in the FA cup and we will need to be on top of our game to get a win. The front two are a real handful at this level and they break forward quckly in large numbers. They are not a strong defensively as they are going forward so if we can defens anf attack properly I think we should win, but f we are having an off day we will be made to pay for it.

Watch out for some strange choreographed warm-up routines! Maybe one of the Posh fans can enlighen me as to what the one at the end of half time was about?

I spoke to his ma the other day. She said there's a chance that they will have to join up with Bromsgrove (??) I fuggin forgot which team, sure it's them though. Redditch fans very unhappy about this.

Anyways...really buzzing for the Posh game. Not felt like this since the season started. Really nervous as well.

COME ON CITEH

:scarf:

Yeah both sets of fans are pretty pissed off with the possibility of merging.

Redditch are in the shit financially and have a really poor stadium. Merging would probably be the best for the future of both clubs.

The reason it's getting bought up in this thread is because it's a bit bloody cheeky for Posh fans to complain about only getting 3000 tickets when their average home attendance is less than 7000 and they took about 300 for a recent match. Fair enough if people pick and choose, but don't complain when you get an allocation that's nearly half your home gate just because a lot of people have picked the same match.

That's true, I think 3000 is certainly fair. It's more then they would get at a lot of other grounds this season.

Just add a bit of spice to this ticket argument.

Swindon - Leicester take 2076, P'boro bring 311 with them.

Stockport - Leicester 2000 approx., P'boro 429 with coaches paid for.

Posh fans here is the reason you won't get anymore than 3,000 even if we could.

If you mean the warm-up before the start of the second half then that is something that has been in place since Fergie took charge. He has prided himself on the team being the fittest in the league, shown by how many goals we have grabbed in stoppage time in the second half, so in answer to your question its a second half warm up.

Where did you get that from??

Easy to pick and choose games isn't it - we've sold out MK, Wobbs and now your away allocation. Personally I see no problem with our allocation but there will be some Posh fans without tickets.

As for rivalry, it's all about location and history. For you there are many clubs nearby - Coventry, two Nottingham teams and Derby. You're the nearest league club to us! Our biggest game is Wobblers and always will be while we are in the same division but in this division you'll be the second.

As for the game, It really could be anything. Both teams score a lot and both teams have arguably their best defender out so 0-0 it is :giggle:

see you all tomorrow :scarf:

We will struggle without Zakuani thats for sure but it will certainly be an awesome game.

I chose games where we've both played at. Secondly, I did the most recent away games you've had because you've been in decent form.

Can't argue with that except we've done exceedingly well on night games this year.

Looking forward to this one.

I also think Posh could could cause us problems so we really need to be on guard.

I think we will just nick it 2-1.

Come on......!

That's the only thing that's been annoying me a bit (not from you, just some things I've read), personally I think it's a fair allocation. Welcome to the board, every 'Boro fan we've had on here has been sound as a pound

It's not really fair though. It's less than 10% of your ground.

You lot would be kicking up a right fuss if we gave you just 1300 at our place, and charged you £23 for the pleasure.

Could be worse, we could give you ZERO...but what kind of club would do that?...oh

If you had a record of selling enough tickets to warrant an allocation of 10% of any ground then you might find you start getting those allocations.

If you want a bigger allocation I suggest selling out your tickets on a more regular basis.

It's fairly straightforward.

As long as your ends were sold out, I'd be fine with that.

After the shite we went through at Stoke on the final day when we went down, we know all about unfair allocations, and from what I can see you have no case whatsoever. We only been allowed 3k by Leeds on boxing day and that in a 42k capacity. Are we moaning?

Smalltime.

No shit, this is Peterborough, not fooking Real Madrid.

You're league 1 mate, I think you'll find that Posh have an above average following away from home, and with this being our most local game, with a piss easy rail link, against top of the league, on great form, on a Saturday, we're going to have the ability to take 5000+
