Just wait and see, that's all i can say. Tunch, well, if he can cope with Boyd then he shouldn't be with you in L1.

He shouldn't to be fair, I think he was lied to about our position.

As an aside, is it a stonable offence to spell quiet correctly in Peterborough? :P

Even if you manage to keep Boyd quite for 85 minutes its the 5 that can change the match. Lets hope we can score during that time if he is kept quite!

Really? I mean, you don't think that's something that every footballer has the ability to do? Lets face it, he's playing League One football, he's not a footballing god...

Deffo 2 of the 4 best teams in the Division on show here (along with Mk and Scunny). Fook knows how it'll pan out, as Pish have some exciting attacking talent in their ranks :D . Looking forward to it :scarf: !!!

Hopefully some of our part-timers will dig in and fork out for this game. We need as much support as possible, they're bringing a load.

I'm more confident that we'll win than it being a good atmosphere though.

I have no idea how this will go either, as a Posh fan I have a horrible feeling that this will be the end of the run, we are sh!t over the christmas period and we also have Millwall on Boxing day and the Dons on Jan 6th. These few games will determine how far we have come and where we are going. Of course you are a bigger club than us, you have the history, you are a bigger city with much more support, you have a bigger ground and a bigger fan base.

BUT

You are only a League one club the same as us, you may get promoted this year you may not, we may get promoted we may not. We are a club with huge dreams and aspirations of getting something we have never had, you are trying and have done for many years to get back what you have lost.

Just so you know, we have been bought by a multi millionaire who has made his plan public that we will be in the Premier League in 7 years, we are now in year 2 of the plan. We have now assembled our team and management by getting young, hungry players many from the conference and frequently put out a team with an average age of c22.

We now have currently an England U21 international, a Welsh full international, a congo international, and a Scots U21 international, we have a team that do not know fear, they do not know when they are beaten, but yes we can at times be naive. Our chairman has said that unless we get offered silly money none of our best players will be leaving. Ferguson would be mad to leave with the backing and promise we have here, look at Paul Ince he moved to quickly.

Yes our ground is manky, but we don't own it now, that is a result of the debacle when Fry owned the club but sold the ground to a property developer. That is one of the reasons why many refuse to go while he is there, but he now has no more to do with the club than the cleaning lady , he is an employee paid to do a job.

Pretty soon we will also be moving to a shiny new ground something like your, possibly not as big to start with, but watch this space. The premier league consists now and recently of several clubs that have forced their way up such as Wigan, Reading, Hull, etc etc, why not Posh.

We do have the fan base, the fens are full of people who can and do come to see The Posh and there are many more, so you can take the p!ss but you can't take our dreams! We are already in heaven and hoping for more, the difference between us is that by our standards we are successful already, you are not by your standards. Be afraid, be very afraid!!

Seriously, lets hope for a cracking game and a cracking season for both our clubs with us both going up 1st and 2nd, and I don't care in what order. It will be fun to establish a new derby instead of us v the Wobblers.

Posh have come very far and credit to you for that. I've heard about the plans for your new stadium. I hope you don't go Darlo style getting a ground too big for you. You do have the potential to become a larger club than you already are, and I do hope both of us go up.

Unfortunately, I think MK Dons will spoil the party I think.

Not long till the game now. We could of done with a win on Saturday and no doubt now the confidence will be in your hands. We we're 2-0 up, we drew 2-2. You we're 1-0 down, you won 2-1. But, its a new game. So lets hope both teams give it 110% effort on the day and give us fans a cracking atmosphere.

With 3000 Posh fans, what do you expect the overall attendance to be?

As you may of guessed - im the Posh drummer. Will i be alright turning up on the day with it or do i need to get permission from your club? I know that i've seen Leicester fans have a drum when you were on sky couple of years back but still.

How many other teams have outnumbered Peterborough at their own ground? Lost 3-0 that day if I remember, good fun though, did they ever rebuild the stand?

Of course we would have outnumbered you if you had given more than ZERO away allocation to us.

But then Leeds were on a similar run of form to you when we beat them and that was the beginning of their downfall. We did MKdonalds at their place as well so we do tend to raise our game for the teams above us in the league.

Anyway, previous posts have talked about a rivalry, or lack of, between our clubs. Admittedly any talk of local rivalry is more likely to come from our side than yours, as you actually are our nearest club apart from the hapless Northampton (and maybe MK?? who cares, I'm not going there anyway).

But that's not why we have a problem with you. The real reason has been hinted at by another Posh fan already:

In the nineties, we did have a few meetings with you. Ones which we nearly always used to win. The time we beat you 3-0 to stop you going up, we quite nicely (we thought) gave you half our ground to accomodate your 8000 or so fans. The following season we played you again on the opening day and you gave us no tickets. Zero. Not one. Never been treated like that before or since. I know it was years ago but it was pretty unsporting and some of us are still narked about it. Sad but true.

Anyway, that's enough of that bollocks... looking forward to Saturday, should be a good game with 2 teams right on form. We've got some players who can cause you problems. I won't mention their names because I'll jinx them and they'll get stretchered off after 5 mins, but just to say you'd better hope your right back has the game of his life.

I love most of the away fans we've had this season, Leeds apart. Medium, respectable football league clubs' fans are lovely, can we stay in this division?

The following season we played you again on the opening day and you gave us no tickets. Zero.

But that was down to the building of the Carling Stand at the time and the only way to be sure that season ticket holders and our casual fans was to give you that allocation at the time.

I rate George Boyd very highly, I wanted us to sign him about 3 years ago. Kerrea Gilbert is a very promising right back that we have from Arsenal, but he will need to be very disciplined to keep Boyd quiet, likewise your right back will need to be on his toes to snuff out Lloyd Dyer me Lloyd.

I like Peterborough fans. Sensible, interesting and not a bunch of dicks on here. Looking forward to this big time. As for the drummer chap it's best to get permission, the club will be arsey if you rock up on the door with it.

Should be a Cracker and surely a 20k+ crowd. I know if we were top and playing a side up there as well then all the 'part timers' would be coming out of the woodwork. Considering you've got a far bigger fan base than us I'd have thought you'd have far more of these 'part timers' as well!

I reckon given your position and form a bumber festive crowd of 25k lots of finger pointing and a 2-0 home win. Followed by all you lot coming on here saying we weren't as good as you thought we'd be.
