I know if we were top and playing a side up there as well then all the 'part timers' would be coming out of the woodwork. Considering you've got a far bigger fan base than us I'd have thought you'd have far more of these 'part timers' as well! I reckon given your position and form a bumber festive crowd of 25k lots of finger pointing and a 2-0 home win. Followed by all you lot coming on here saying we weren't as good as you thought we'd be. Love and kisses to all Foxes. 25k? If only mate. Too cold, credit crunch? He's not bald Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 I have no idea how this will go either, as a Posh fan I have a horrible feeling that this will be the end of the run, we are sh!t over the christmas period and we also have Millwall on Boxing day and the Dons on Jan 6th. These few games will determine how far we have come and where we are going. Of course you are a bigger club than us, you have the history, you are a bigger city with much more support, you have a bigger ground and a bigger fan base.BUT You are only a League one club the same as us, you may get promoted this year you may not, we may get promoted we may not. We are a club with huge dreams and aspirations of getting something we have never had, you are trying and have done for many years to get back what you have lost. Just so you know, we have been bought by a multi millionaire who has made his plan public that we will be in the Premier League in 7 years, we are now in year 2 of the plan. We have now assembled our team and management by getting young, hungry players many from the conference and frequently put out a team with an average age of c22. We now have currently an England U21 international, a Welsh full international, a congo international, and a Scots U21 international, we have a team that do not know fear, they do not know when they are beaten, but yes we can at times be naive. Our chairman has said that unless we get offered silly money none of our best players will be leaving. Ferguson would be mad to leave with the backing and promise we have here, look at Paul Ince he moved to quickly. Yes our ground is manky, but we don't own it now, that is a result of the debacle when Fry owned the club but sold the ground to a property developer. That is one of the reasons why many refuse to go while he is there, but he now has no more to do with the club than the cleaning lady , he is an employee paid to do a job. Pretty soon we will also be moving to a shiny new ground something like your, possibly not as big to start with, but watch this space. The premier league consists now and recently of several clubs that have forced their way up such as Wigan, Reading, Hull, etc etc, why not Posh. We do have the fan base, the fens are full of people who can and do come to see The Posh and there are many more, so you can take the p!ss but you can't take our dreams! We are already in heaven and hoping for more, the difference between us is that by our standards we are successful already, you are not by your standards. Be afraid, be very afraid!! Seriously, lets hope for a cracking game and a cracking season for both our clubs with us both going up 1st and 2nd, and I don't care in what order. It will be fun to establish a new derby instead of us v the Wobblers. Merry Christmas to you all! Hey,after this season you won't see us for dust! You need to be looking over your posh shoulders at that little village team just down the AI from you that seem to be doing rather well!

All they will come down for is the Leeds game & the promotion party (if there is one)

You won't get tickets outside the away corner because: i) problems with segregation ii) the two blocks either side of the away area have season ticket holders that aren't keen on being moved. We're a mardy bunch in Leicester. We only got 3000 odd tickets for Leeds even though Elland Road holds 40 odd thousand.

Segregation is also a lot harder because of the bowl we call home.

I thought the point of having one of these characterless lego stadiums the same as half the other teams in the country was so that you can be flexible with segregation, ticket allocation etc. Isn't that one of the reasons you have a big bowl rather than seperate stands?
Koke Posted 16 December 2008 Posted 16 December 2008 Well, if Posh fans are so eager for more tickets then just buy it anywhere in the ground. Sheffield Wednesday got 3.000 last season in our relegation six pointer and they didn't moan about it. Granted, we had a crowd of 31.000 that day, but loads of Wednesdayites were in the home areas. And the day ended trouble free as far as I can remember. Now, that game was far more important than this one and they didn't moan one bit. Just take your 3k allocation and come along and enjoy your day out. For us its a giggle, for you its a big day out. May the best team win, and may both teams eventually get promoted.
