Call Of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare.

I did that up to the level where you leftenant Price and you have to carry your partner and hold those people off for fecking ages. After hours and hours of trying, I did that and then ran with the partner to the helicopter and got shot. I've never gone back since! THAT WAS SO ANNOYING

At the moment I'm stuck on hunted, where you need to get into the barn to get the javelin, but there's a helicopter flying above that shoots mercilessly. Plus there's other hostiles on the ground and in the barn.

How the fook do you get into the barn, without the helicopter shooting you, and quick enough so that you can get a shot at the hostiles inside the barn before they get a shot at you. Spent at least 2 hours on this yesterday.

I just watched the Gamespot online review and they say that the single-player mode is real short.

Seeing that I'm not that much of an online gamer (and not a particular FPS guy), should I still give it a go?

I usually play the regular Call Of Duty (the WWII parts) alongside my pals in multiplayer.

The possibility to create your own customized character is slightly appealing.

(And yes - I am aware of the fact that Part II is about to be released soon)

slightly later on. tank stuck in the bog. i'm pretty sure i've killed everyone and then the tank blows up, i die and a message comes up saying "the tank has been over run and destroyed"

Through with this one (on single-player).

A little bit short for my liking, but the variety of mission types really and the storyline do it for me. Completed it on Regular, but already noticed how precise the enemies shoot.

What a freaking game this is! Only got and played a ps3 at Crimbo and after playing this game I had to buy another ps3 (and a new telly - that's my life savings gone) so I could play my Mrs and friends online.

Bored of other games already, not really a gamer anymore but this is awesome. I'm a master at running around in circles, drawing an outline around an enemy with bullets and then after emptying my clip getting shot in the face. Or stabbed.

Is it worth buying MW2 and MW3? I've heard in some places that they are worse games and that the weapons are not as good. Why the hell they wouldn't use the same weapons with a few additions I don't know. Thinking of getting MW2 as I've heard that's better than MW3.

And you know when you get a UAV, airstrike and then a helicopter, do you have to use them all as soon as you get them or can you save them and do them in order after the 7 kill streak? Not sure why I'm asking because I've only ever managed to call in 2 helo's but if I do it again I want to save them all to use together.

And if anyone still plays this on ps3 and wants a cage match, team deathmatch or just free for all let me know and I'll bust your asses with my silenced P-frickin-90!

Got a mic thing but not used it yet because I'm a bit disappointed at the quality of chat going on. All I can hear most of the time is a stupid annoying noise coming from people that I have to mute. I thought everyone would be having a laugh but it's just random noise or people bitching. Mardy barstads, it's only a game.

At the time of it's release, MW2 was excellent. It had killstreaks that caused e-drama but other than it was a great game. These days, though, whenever I go back to it I just want to cry. It's full of retards abusing "quick-scope" sniping and it's just gotten boring.

Black Ops is a little bit more back-to-basics, a bit more stripped down (in a good way) and has a better selection of weaponry, in my opinion, not to mention less-lethal killstreaks.

CSS isn't a realistic shooter either. And both CoD and CSS are fast paced fps in 'small' maps. To be honest, I've been put off by FPS almost entirely in the past 3 years. I only play battlefield. Couldn't care less for the new CS.

Which games have big maps? When I started playing this I thought the maps were massive but I'm realizing they're mostly quite small. I'd like a game with slightly bigger maps like Ghost Recon 1 for a different kind of game.

Edit: Oh yeah, is quick-scoping where the snipers sprint around and shoot loads of people like they are using a pistol? Seen it on kill-cam and their sights just seem to instantly be on you and then a quick sprint and they get another. I've tried to do it and find it impossible.

I dont think CSS is better than Cod 4. Cod 4 brought way more to the table in terms of game play, perks, variation of game modes etc. The only reason css is so popular is because of the modding community but then that's not really possible for xbox games, so if you want to compare call of duty on the console compared to counter strike on the consoles then you'll see how crap counter strike is.

Dont get me wrong counter strike is a decent game but it didn't really bring anything spectacular to the table when it came out. Counter strike better than all the recent call of duty's? Perhaps, as they're so similar it's hard to like any of the new ones now but if any of the new ones came out as call of duty 4 then it'd be hard to argue counter strike is better.

Some piss-ant has hacked my cod4 game. I was halfway through a game and a message came up "chrisgascoigne gives you all", and then a bar came up and took me to level 55 prestige 11 with a gold cross. I thought something was wrong when I noticed two enemy helicopters in the air at once but I just carried on playing. Crazy fool. What is the point of these people doing this because it has ruined a game that I payed good money for. Little shits.

I was on my 3rd time around (2nd prestige I think you call it) and was level 30 or so. Now all challenges that I had unlocked are completed and I can't start again. The weapons and perks that I hadn't unlocked like the G36c, P90 and 3 frags etc. are now locked as I can't start prestige again. I'm pished off and have tried deleting game data and stuff to no avail.

Is the only option now to create another email and new psn user? How many emails can one person have? And how can I stop this happening again?

Hackers are the biggest problem with playing the older COD games, you shouldn't get that on Black Ops.

If you do like bigger maps and more varied play styles then it's worth giving Battlefield a go. It's quite different to COD and may take you a bit of getting used to but it's perhaps more "epic."

If you want to stick to CoD then MW2 probably has bigger maps than Blops, in fact the latter had very few really good ranged maps at all. It's not really a sniper's game.

Black op's isnt as bad for quick scoping as MW2 as they tried to sort it out for Black op's, so if you hate it, steer clear from MW2

loads of people still playing Black op's, i play search and destroy most of the time, a bit more challenging

Bought MW2 a couple of days ago but not played it yet. I was going for Black-Ops but it was pissing £47.99 in the store! I didn't really want to pay that price for a game, so bought MW2 which was only £19.99 but then had to pay £10.99 for the resurgence pack and got another pack to get for £10.99. If I'd have known about the add-ons I would have just bought Black-Ops in the first place.

It's a dear do this gaming lark!
