somebum Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 I know its a long shot. I wasn't at the game yesterday and I was speaking with an elderly woman who was, she didnt give me much to go on but she said she would 'love to know what the city fans were singing' at the game... apparently something about Pearson? The top of the stand sung one thing and the bottom of the stand sung another?
somebum Posted 21 December 2008 Author Posted 21 December 2008 You know what, it very well could have been. I worry about that woman sometimes!
Matt Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 Theres only one Nigel Pearson, One Nigel Pearson, There's only one Nigel Pearson? Pearson gives us a wave, Pearson, Pearson gives us a wave? Nigel gives us a wave, Nigel, Nigel gives us a wave? Not about Nigel Pearson but - We're the left/right side, we're the left/right side, we're the left/right side over ere? (Sounds likely it could have been that, this is when the crowd splits into 2 and obviously sing to what suits - Left or Right, Not top and bottom though.)

Jay Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 that song is shit at home unless those in K that want to sing it move round to N block, then it would at least make sense or.... as it was sung yesterday between either side of the Kop it was actually pretty good imo
Unit Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 or.... as it was sung yesterday between either side of the Kop it was actually pretty good imo noooo 100% better away from home
Matt Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 or.... as it was sung yesterday between either side of the Kop it was actually pretty good imo It is better doing that at away games, but we actually had atmosphere once in a blue moon at the Walkers Stadium thanks to this chant yesterday, I thought it was good yesterday, Atmosphere or No Atmosphere, Can't please everyone though
Jimmy Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 or.... as it was sung yesterday between either side of the Kop it was actually pretty good imo no because its still the same stand so make no sense It is better doing that at away games, but we actually had atmosphere once in a blue moon at the Walkers Stadium thanks to this chant yesterday, I thought it was good yesterday, Atmosphere or No Atmosphere, Can't please everyone though 1 chant does not an atmosphere make
sbfox Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 I'm sorry, the atmosphere at the Walkers wasn't due to 'leftsiderightside' bollocks. It was because of the fact that the players really delivered for us yesterday. Does no-one else see how ridiculous chanting 'left side, right side' in the Kop is? By all means, if we're split up across two stands, but in one large stand.... sad IMO.

Left side, right side is an embarrassment at home games in any case.

I was sitting in the middle, behind the goal! What do I sing.
morris1234 Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 whinging people dont make an atmosphere. ' the kops crap, its much better where i sat in l1, wah wah wah, why cant man woman and child in the kop automatically learn all the songs and all stand up and start singing wah wah wah but no i cant be bothered to go over to the kop and sort it, ill just whinge from a far wah wah wah everybody who sits in the kop is automatically crap wah wah wah, chelsea dagger is crap because all other clubs use it and we want to be special so we whinge AGAIN WAH fu*cking Wah!!!!!!!!! i get fed up about hearing how there is no atmosphere and how chelsea dagger is crap! you all whinge yet do nothing about it! this is your club! stop finding something to criticise and just enjoy matches, rather than thinking, 'well they're not very loud are they'!! have you ever considered looking at who sings in the kop anyway? its only really the back row simply because youre not allowed to stand up! youre not really allowed to stand even on the back row! yet in L1 you all stand up and nobody does anything! VENT OVVVVVVVVEER!
Rocky Dennis Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 The Left side/Right side song is one of the most embarrasing cringeworthy things I have ever heard at a football ground! Totally pointless. Only Chelsea Dagger annoys me more, please stop it!!!
C.J Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 The Mexican wave was more embarrising than the left/right side chant yesterday. Chelsea Dagger is awsome, leave it alone! I like what they've done mixing it with the goal horn.
lcfc81 Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 I far prefer all these songs than when nobody sings at all. And I definately prefer them to when everyone starts whinging about the team. I couldn't care what songs are being sung or where you can hear them, as long as where I'm sitting people sing and try to create an atmosphere I'm happy.
Fosse Boy Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 The Mexican wave was more embarrising than the left/right side chant yesterday.Chelsea Dagger is awsome, leave it alone! I like what they've done mixing it with the goal horn. How exactly?
Fox You Forest Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 How exactly? Why should he explain his reasons for liking it? Also why is this turning into another thread about CD there are enough around.
C.J Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 It just is, you cant help but join in. Granted, when its a 90th minute consolation goal its not what you want to hear. But right now it just sounds good.
potter3 Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 About the left side/right side, the thing that gets me is it's by far the loudest chant, why do half of these people that sing it not sing other songs, songs that get behind the team, the only song that was close yesterday in terms of volume was EIEIEIO, and that's only the opening couple of lines.
adam Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 I thought the atmosphere in the kop was good yesterday, best its been all season. Need to bin that left side/right side song though.
Guest Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 About the left side/right side, the thing that gets me is it's by far the loudest chant, why do half of these people that sing it not sing other songs Other songs are a lot harder to learn, I think you'll find.
