lildave3 Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 I didn't even mind left side/right side yesterday, or the wave. It was the perfect timing, which is unusual. I was having a reet good time.
potter3 Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 Other songs are a lot harder to learn, I think you'll find. I'm assuming you're being ironic.
Corky Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 I didn't actually mind Chelsea Dagger yesterday, I didn't join in but the elation of the result and performance made me forget about my reservations for the awful song. I even enjoyed the Mexican Wave for once
Guest Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 I'm assuming you're being ironic. Maybe a little bit.

filbertway Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 You better watch out, you better beware, he's good on the ground and he's good in the airr, chrissy powell is comin' to townn chrissy powell is comin' to town
Alexikokopops Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 it has no place in football. it's just wrong. If it wasn't for the 1986 World Cup in Mexico we wouldn't even call it a Mexican Wave.
Finnegan Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 While I'm with most of you on Left Side / Right Side and Chelsea Dagger; am I really the only one to raise a grin at the occasional Mexican wave? It's not like we do it every game. Having a bit of a giggle because we're royally battering someone the week before Christmas hardly merits the title "embarrasment." Stop taking yourselves so fucking seriously and grow up a bit.
Fosse Boy Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 Yeah, I've never really had a problem with a Mexican wave when it's employed at the right time either.

Stop taking yourselves so fucking seriously and grow up a bit. It's acceptable when you are 4 up at home! 1 up and that is a different matter entirety! If people do not confuse these 2 scenarios then I have no problem with the Wave at all, IMO it's a good laugh
The Stig Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 whinging people dont make an atmosphere.i get fed up about hearing how there is no atmosphere and how chelsea dagger is crap! you all whinge yet do nothing about it! this is your club! stop finding something to criticise and just enjoy matches, rather than thinking, 'well they're not very loud are they'!! There are a lot of people on this forum who have done a lot about it, both in terms of atmosphere and Chelsea Dagger. Edit - I'd also like to state my deep sincere hatred for We're the left side etc crap. It's annoying irritating and pointless. If you want to have fun singing sing in support of the team not you're seat. Small rant over.
Rich Fox Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 The Left side/Right side song is one of the most embarrasing cringeworthy things I have ever heard at a football ground!Totally pointless. Only Chelsea Dagger annoys me more, please stop it!!! the left side right side song should be sung between the kop and L1. Fans in L1 should sing were the east stand over here and fans in the kop should sing were the kop end over here. Ive started a thread about getting us a new song which has had a lot of ideas but everyone over complicates the songs and none of them would catch on we need something simple that everyone can sing like man citys blue moon for example does not have to be about a player or have our name in it.
clazkel Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 The left side/right side was great at Cheltenham as our fans were in 2 stands. Why can't the kop be the left side and L1 and East stand be the right side? The kop and L1 never seem to sing together, its like their in competition
clazkel Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 the left side right side song should be sung between the kop and L1. Fans in L1 should sing were the east stand over here and fans in the kop should sing were the kop end over here. That sounds good
The Stig Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 the left side right side song should be sung between the kop and L1. It should not be sung at all. Both stands should sing in support of the team.
Floating Fox Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 Didn't bother going to the game 'cus I was A) Working & B) I'm not a muppet willing to give £15 away Went out in Leicester afterwards with mates that had been at the game who all said it was crap, apart from one who'd been in L1, who said it was "****ing buzzing" ( I think he'd taken some drugs or something though to be fair) 4-0 win and they all say it was still crap. Says it all for me. Left/Right side is getting cringeworthy. I like the idea of it, but even at aways its annoying. It'd be good if we did it once/twice a game for 5 minutes, but its now turned into a once every minutes thing and after two alternate, its "WHO ARE YA WHO ARE YA" The East Stand/South Stand would work, but apparently you can't hear each other, funny that, having been in both areas (N block) you can hear the South Stand when it gets going and you can quiet clearly hear L1 from the "kop". And FAO Morris. You are a tit. Does it not occur to you that people have tried/Are still trying? It doesn't help when theres pretty much sweet FA you can actually do and the fact that we our supported by morons like you.
clazkel Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 It should not be sung at all. Both stands should sing in support of the team. It would be better if not sung at all but it is going to be sung so if so i think both stands joining in would be better
Ibbyfox Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 I was in L1 yesterday and I couldn't hear the Kop at any point during the game. Left side, right side is an embarrassment at home games in any case. Perhaps you didn't have your hearing aid on?! The Kop was noisy enough. Didn't bother going to the game 'cus I was A) Working & B) I'm not a muppet willing to give £15 awayWent out in Leicester afterwards with mates that had been at the game who all said it was crap, apart from one who'd been in L1, who said it was "****ing buzzing" ( I think he'd taken some drugs or something though to be fair) 4-0 win and they all say it was still crap. Relative to pretty much every home game this season so far (apart from maybe Bristol Rovers after we scored 2 in last minute or so to win it) the atmosphere in the Kop was good yesterday - but as already mentioned that will be largely due to the fact that we were playing barnstorming stuff.
CosbehFox Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 Left side, right side is an embarrassment at home games in any case. Totally agree. Hate it with a passion. Wasn't fan of the Mexican Wave either tbh. I'd rather we rolled out the LCFC songbook and gave everyone a sheet with songs to sign. 'Super! Super! Steve' was good when Howard bagged.

Ross-Kemp Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 Same old shit. We win. People moan. We lose people moan. We draw. People moan. fook sake.
filbertway Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 The guy at the back of the SK1 was far from impressed with my comparisons to CVT to be honest. And L1 was the most german thing I've ever seen at the walkers apart from Freund. You'd have loved it andrew.
morris1234 Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 Same old shit. We win. People moan. We lose people moan. We draw. People moan. fook sake. preech brother! ross kemp, ALL HAIL!

So all city fans who spend £15 on a game are muppets and you are really think your clever because you didnt go. Sounds more like your in a rut to me and are spouting off on here to let off steam.
