Finnegan Posted 9 January 2009 Posted 9 January 2009 Just a quick addition to everyone who thinks they've "just missed out" - if you're going to turn up, bring some kit with you just in case. There's always last minute drop outs and no-shows, you may as well come prepared.
Sparky Posted 9 January 2009 Posted 9 January 2009 Who is bringing the Mr Kipling country slices for half time now Alex aint coming ??

Finnegan Posted 9 January 2009 Posted 9 January 2009 What tops do the unders wear? White shirts. Most in England shirts, think Jamie has an Italy away shirt, I've seen a couple just play in white t-shirts (Ben?) You'll find something. The games aren't violent but sometimes a bit clumsy, I wouldn't recommend anyone play without shinpads.

Finnegan Posted 9 January 2009 Posted 9 January 2009 That? You might have to stop lildave humping your leg but yeah.
JoeyB Posted 9 January 2009 Posted 9 January 2009 I just want to clear one or two things up. Firstly it's hard enough to organise the team, getting in touch with everyone, making sure everyone knows where we're playing, what time it is, what kit we're wearing and so on. I can see where people are coming from saying it shouldn't be exclusive, and it isn't. Uncle Albert didn't play the first two, but played the third, JoeyB and Michael The Work Geordie haven't yet played in one of these but they will be this time. We've always said or at least tried to maintain that priority goes to the people that played in the last match and again that's what we've tried to do. There was a big gathering before christmas and we all had a chat about what we thought was best, the main issue that was brought was squad size. Now, this wasn't brought up because people are being selfish for more pitch time, but because we don't want people to turn up, and moan that they didn't get to play as long as everyone else. Finally, I don't decide what happens with the u21's on my own, I try and get in touch with everyone and see what they think of the situation. They give their opinion and again it's discussed on the whole. After taking everyone's suggestions, I simply see what the majority decision is and then finalise it to try and make as many people happy as possible. You may think we're taking this too seriously, but that's not the case, we just want to be organised to make the day run smoothly. Cheers Bert for including me. Like Bert said its hard to make everyone happy and he has only done it a fair way. Just top clear up a few things: Its at Vicky park yeah at midday, and the u21 play in white yeah Anyone need a lift from Kegworth/ Loughborugh/ Shepshed area?
JakeShingler Posted 9 January 2009 Posted 9 January 2009 That? You might have to stop lildave humping your leg but yeah. That's the one Nihat on the back.

JoeyB Posted 9 January 2009 Posted 9 January 2009 I'll donate a prize to MOTM. Alcoholic too..........
Finnegan Posted 9 January 2009 Posted 9 January 2009 That's the one Nihat on the back. "Bits of blue on it" Jesus. That's whiter than an England shirt you tool. Nope. England for me too. I meant that other Ben, Benji is it? Didn't he go to the winter one at Viccy Park last time?

Joe. Posted 9 January 2009 Posted 9 January 2009 HOWEVER I think there's a massive difference in maturity between the likes of Ultra, Thracian, TPH, fox123, Daggers etc and younger chaps on the forum. And that's not just the two young outcasts in question, but the Cheds, Joes, JMEs, Alberts and co of this world - too. And if you can't come and turn up without the chip-on-shoulder, without being willing to take the piss out of yourself a bit and acknowledge you've been a goober - then I wouldn't show up. ?
The People's Hero Posted 9 January 2009 Posted 9 January 2009 I meant that other Ben, Benji is it? Didn't he go to the winter one at Viccy Park last time? Ah. You mean Benji the Harpoon merchant. Buyer, seller and purveyor of harpoons.

Guest Posted 9 January 2009 Posted 9 January 2009 I would just like to add, on behalf of Sir Fynwy who hasn't looked at this thread at all, it is probably best to use him up front. Think of him as a Steve Howard type. But with less skill and more pace.
Darkzzz_ Posted 9 January 2009 Posted 9 January 2009 Can someone actually repost the current squad list to clear confusion. If anyone needs a lift from the Kettering area please let me know.

I wouldn't agree with that, as has been said it wouldn't be fair to have say 4 four more under 21's turn up so we have a squad of 18+. If someone turned up with kit I'm sure they'd be peeved if they didn't get on and Bert whoever might feel inclined to play them given the fact they've turned up with kit. ? Got me as well.

I don't really agree with either tbh.
Sparky Posted 9 January 2009 Posted 9 January 2009 I don't really agree with either tbh. Its your call mate , dont think anyone is pressuring you . I brought the idea up for more players as i misread what C man wrote about only having 4 subs . You do as you see right

Cobbo Posted 9 January 2009 Posted 9 January 2009 Can someone enlighten me as to my position in this one? I am very much a utility man nowadays it seems, which is cool.
