I would love to see Nathan Delfuneso come in on loan from Villa and also see a good keeper come here permanently!

Mark Davies

Let's keep it realistic. Nathan Delfuneso is looking to break into the Villa side, not drop two divisions to play for us.

We need to sign Mark Davies and some capable back up for Fryatt and Steve. Danny Graham perhaps.

We need:

Davies perm.

A good forward or 2. Target man and fast striker who can rotate with Howard and Fryatt.

Mark Davies and Kerrea Gilbert.

Could do with a keeper, but I think Nigel waits for the summer.

This ^ plus a striker. I'm sure there are plenty of young ones at the big four clubs that could come in and provide decent back-up for Howard and Fryatt.

To sign Gilbert and Davies permanently.

And, if Nigel thinks that Dickov and DJ aren't up for it then we need to sign another striker but personally I don't see the need.

Mark Davies.

A big man striker who can play instead of Howard. A fast striker as back up for Fryatt.

A right winger, Gradel and Adams dont seem good enough.

Possibly a left winger as back up for Dyer.

If Dyer, Fryatt, Tunchev, Howard get injured, which is possible, we will be fooked.

Mark Davies

Jamie Ward

Not going to be signing a goalkeeper I imagine, but we will need one.

Potential targets in my mind (transfer or loan):-

Mark Bunn, Blackburn - bought for future I imagine, but behind Jason Brown and Robinson in the pecking order.

Iain Turner, Everton.

Stuart Taylor (again), Aston Villa.

We're in League 1 and people are expecting us to get 2 back up strikers, to go along with the ones we already have? Many decent strikers going to want to come and sit on the bench? I think not, we would be best stick with what we have I think as I could only imagine the quility of the side being diluted by signing multiple players as back up.

Davies on a permanent deal would be ideal - if we could turn Gilbert and Hobbs's deals permanent (not sure if Liverpool would allow that mind) we should definately do that.

As far as brand new faces are concerned, I can only really think a keeper would perhaps improve our current squad (out of the players we could potentially get).

This all depends on us keeping our bst players though.

Lets keep it realistic.

I dont think we'll make any big signings.

Talking about clearing all the deadwood, they need to go.

I reckon we'll sell the following: Logan (Perm to Luton?), Worley, Clemence, Campbell, Hayes, Big Barry, N'Gotty.

Loan out the following: Gradel, Sappleton (Done), Craig King, Luke O'Neill, Rowe-Turner.

I'd like to see a bit more of Davies before we sign him though, He's proved he has got it so far, but can he carry on.

A goalkeeper, Henderson is good enough for this level and championship, but if we get another decent keeper, I'd like to see them both battling for the No.1 Spot.

We're not going to get Rickie Lambert, any other striker or a goalkeeper. Martin has signed an extension and Hendo will be back to fitness in two weeks, with Pearson seeming to be happy to have Cisak as 3rd choice. Which is fine with me, he's not done a bad job so far has he?

We have Dickov, Campbell and maybe Ashley Chambers that will come in for any injured strikers. People may not like it/them players but I'd be very surprised if we got a goalkeeper or a striker in.

I think as already pointed out, that the most important signing could be the extension of Mark Davies' loan, which is still up in the air.

Extensions for Powell (already signed) and Edworthy will be done too I'd imagine.

I was speaking to a watford fan today and he said we were are after gareth williams from watford, not sure whether he meant loan or permanent but i thought he was injured

I think we will go up with the squad we have. So why not get some players for free or cheap who are young and potentially good who can come in when we need them.

We could either keep them for the championship or sell them for decent money if they turn out alright.

Whats the point in wasteing money what we will need in the summer to make the squad a good championship squad?

He didn't set the world alight when he was here the first time.

Older, weaker, and just getting over a career threatening injury. No thanks.

He only played well, when it came to the transfer window so he could get a move out iirc.
