jayyd08 Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 only like to see players that would inprove the squad and not jus rot away on the subs bench..
Big Bad Fox Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 personally i cant see anything wrong with selling the deadwood and loaning a couple more young championship/premiership players i dont think its fair on milan if we ask him to buy more players, when he's already lost an absolute fortune on leicester, and the current batch are doing a good job.... Thierry Henry would be nice though
Fosse Boy Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 personally i cant see anything wrong with selling the deadwoodand loaning a couple more young championship/premiership players i dont think its fair on milan if we ask him to buy more players, when he's already lost an absolute fortune on leicester, and the current batch are doing a good job.... Thierry Henry would be nice though The thing with loaning too many good young players is that, while their talents and merits are usually obvious, reliance upon loan signing after loan signing can lead to a lack of unity and continuity within a club, which can leave them treading water in the same division year after year. Obviously, that's not really the case this year considering the division we're playing in, but I'd prefer it if we were to make some really good permanent signings who we know would do a job for us once we get ourselves out of this division, not just look for the temporary solution. You're right though, Henry would be ace.
Corky Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 I think we need a striker, a quite prolific striker in case Fryatt gets injured. I know we've got Dickov and Campbell, but I'm not, and I think Nigel isn't, convinced by them. Ricky Lambert would be good, but it's probably unlikely.
Big Bad Fox Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 You're right though, Henry would be ace. i would prefer patrick agyemang ( beats him all ends up )
Carlos9 Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 FULOP!!!!!!!! He would go championship i reckon. Tho i heard he wanted to stay at leicester when he was here but we couldnt afford Keanes asking price. Would be a quallity signing tho!!
Unabomber Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 Davies for as long as possible Gilbert Back up striker
Uncle Albert Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 Would be a dream come true if Stearman returned next season.
Uncle Albert Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 Joey Barton (just for Albert ) Phwaor! Wouldnt get any better for Leicester City if that stud joined us. A dream midfield of Hendrie, Barton, Oakley and King. Heaven.
GLC Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 lee hendrie would be class, but hes at blackpool on loan so i cant see him coming
Uncle Albert Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 lee hendrie would be class, but hes at blackpool on loan so i cant see him coming Sense the tone. Obviously I know he wont becoming in this window.
JoeyB Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 Duffy if we can't get gilbert on a perm http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...uth/7807161.stm
Dan Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 Kerrea Gilbert - Permanent Mark Davies - Permanent Liam Dickinson - Loan
GLC Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 Sense the tone.Obviously I know he wont becoming in this window. i would like hendrie here!
Jimmy Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 Lee Hendrie's loan has either finished or is about to
Ozwin Posted 2 January 2009 Posted 2 January 2009 -Inevitable Fulop post- But seriously, we don't really need anyone at the minute. A goalkeeper would be nice but there's not too many about, maybe get Ian Walker back?
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 2 January 2009 Posted 2 January 2009 Gilbert permanent Davies' loan extended A proven League One striker - Adam Boyd or Simon Cox.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 2 January 2009 Posted 2 January 2009 Lets keep it realistic.I dont think we'll make any big signings. Talking about clearing all the deadwood, they need to go. I reckon we'll sell the following: Logan (Perm to Luton?), Worley, Clemence, Campbell, Hayes, Big Barry, N'Gotty. Loan out the following: Gradel, Sappleton (Done), Craig King, Luke O'Neill, Rowe-Turner. I'd like to see a bit more of Davies before we sign him though, He's proved he has got it so far, but can he carry on. A goalkeeper, Henderson is good enough for this level and championship, but if we get another decent keeper, I'd like to see them both battling for the No.1 Spot. I know none of them are playing at present but we still require a couple for backup
carterfox90 Posted 2 January 2009 Posted 2 January 2009 fulop yes please but no chance how about zola from crewe thought he looked good against us & davies would be another great signing but doubt it will happen
