lildave3 Posted 6 January 2009 Posted 6 January 2009 We have a shocking record at their ground, Ive been 4 times as well! I've been 3 times, all fairly shocking.
Corky Posted 6 January 2009 Posted 6 January 2009 I've been 3 times, all fairly shocking. Same here, went to the 2-2 draw in 2002 (after being 2-0 up) and both 2-0 defeats in 2006.
CosbehFox Posted 6 January 2009 Posted 6 January 2009 I predicted this on their forums last summer when we were after Saganowski. I was winding them up with fake translation of Polish articles. I said they were one step behind us in the demise stage.
Daggers Posted 6 January 2009 Posted 6 January 2009 Just because i can't stand Le Tis, i wouldn't shed a tear should the inevitable come to pass. You are obviously too young to have ever enjoyed him in his playing days. Either that or you are a total idiot for not appreciating one of the most entertaining players ever to have been born on this island.

Agreed, I always stick his 'unbelievable' video on from time to time, the bloke was a genius with the ball. Oh and to be a pedantic arse he was born on Guernsey.

potter3 Posted 7 January 2009 Posted 7 January 2009 Guernsey? Le Tissier was born in Guernsey and played youth football on the island with Vale Recreation. It is said that that he "regularly" scored from corner kicks. He was an attacking midfielder playing just behind the strikers. It's on that page
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 7 January 2009 Author Posted 7 January 2009 My mates, instead of saying Jan Poortvliet shorten it to 'Porter loo'.... I do appreciate Le Tis (or La God as they call him down here) as a wonderful and loyal player, but shall never quite forgive him for shunning me after we played them at The Dell for an autograph. Used to get all the City players at that ground, I'm assuming because the facilities inside were poor! Remember me and my old man having nice chats with Elliott, Taggs, Lennon, Izzet, Guppy, Theo, and a young Heskey etc.... never did get O'God tho

Strange name though, Le Tissier, given he was "born on this island"...
