The People's Hero Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 What would be faster over 100 metres if it had to run, an eagle or a gecko?
Alexikokopops Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 What would be faster over 100 metres if it had to run, an eagle or a gecko? Gecko's can shift it, eagles are rubbish at running. What a ridiculous question.
Ric Flair Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 What would be faster over 100 metres if it had to run, an eagle or a gecko? Are we talking about Gordon Gecko?
The People's Hero Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 Gecko's can shift it, eagles are rubbish at running. What a ridiculous question. Ah, but you've forgotten to factor in the probability of the eagle eating the gecko pre-race.
Alexikokopops Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 Ah, but you've forgotten to factor in the probability of the eagle eating the gecko pre-race. Well then the race wouldn't take place. I'm a poet and I DO know it.
Chimp Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 Ah, but you've forgotten to factor in the probability of the eagle eating the gecko pre-race. Surely it would then be a draw?
StaffordFoxed Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 So from the posts...I'm guessing Mark Davies is coming back?
Bert Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 Mark Davies is expected to extend his loan deal at Leicester City, according to sources close to his club, Wolves. The 20-year-old Molineux midfielder has made a significant impact at the Walkers Stadium, but returned to the Championship club after last weekend's FA Cup tie with Crystal Palace. While Davies resumes training with his home-town side, the two clubs are holding talks as City are keen to have him back in time for Saturday's League One clash with Leyton Orient at the Walkers Stadium. Speaking before Davies's final match for City, Wolves manager Mick McCarthy said: "We're talking about it and then we will see. Perhaps the loan could be extended until the end of January. "If I feel we need him back here for the squad then that might happen, or if we feel we're strong enough then I might loan him out for the rest of the season because he's not had that much football. "He's certainly done well there and it's really good that he's out there playing. From the mercury, but pretty much the same as what was on the Wolves website.
StanSP Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 Cheers Bert. Was beginning to wonder what all the animal races were about....
BoneDog Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 Whats harder? An alligator or a crocodile?Does it depend on whether the fight is on land or in water? A crocodile is harder. I tried to stab one once with me old rambo knife when it tried to nick me elk I'd caught for dinner but it snapped me blade. I think giraffes are quite soft like zebras.

Are zebras just stripey horses or do they have any other key differences, anatomical or otherwise?
Sooper Steve's shin Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 From the mercury, but pretty much the same as what was on the Wolves website. Is McCarthy trying to copy his old mate Keano in pissing us around like he did with Fulop?
kidder_wolf Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 Is McCarthy trying to copy his old mate Keano in pissing us around like he did with Fulop? He wants to send Davies back out on loan but while we have so many players out at CM we will be holding on to Davies until we can tie up a deal for someone else David Jones is suspended for one game while Dave Edwards has a hamstring injury. I expect to see Davies rejoin you on monday until the end of January and then see it extended until the end of the season IF we sign another central midfielder. He is our player and MM is looking after the interests of his club i would hardly call that "pissing you about"

I take your point however, look after the club you manage - everything else is secondary.
coale39 Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 Are zebras just stripey horses or do they have any other key differences, anatomical or otherwise? 1- Their body shape is more like that of a donkey than a true horse, to varying degrees based on the species of zebra 2- They have a solid tail, with stripes on it and tufts of hair, as opposed to the horse's all-hair tail. 3 - Most of the DNA is extremely similar, however the chromosome number varies widely (due mostly to centromere repositioning); horses have 32 pairs of chromosomes, for a total number of 64 chromosomes, while zebras have 16 pairs of chromosomes, for a total number of 32 chromosomes
kidder_wolf Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 A straight answer wouldn't go amiss though.I take your point however, look after the club you manage - everything else is secondary. Its hard to give a straight answer when it comes to loaning out a player who still has a future at the club.If he was rubbish you would of had him by now. If you want the best loan players available then you have to wait until the loaning club can afford to let him go. We need him for his weekends game v Preston but after that we will have players returning and hopefully a new signing for Davies' position. If the deal doesnt happen you wil lmore than likely know by next week so that at least gives you time to find a replacement. We had both Carlos Edwards and Michael Mancienne recalled early from loan spells at the club which is really unhelpful when you are top of the league. Atleast you had Davies' for as long as you planned to have him and if he returns i doubt MM will be calling him back early.
surrifox Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 I'd actually rather have Marvin Elliott here - always rated him - won't happen though
Ric Flair Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 I'd actually rather have Marvin Elliott here - always rated him - won't happen though Mark Davies is far more effective going forward than Marvin Elliott, Davies really has bought a new dimension to our midfield that we've not had since Muzzy Izzet.
kidder_wolf Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 I'd actually rather have Marvin Elliott here - always rated him - won't happen though I would even be amazed if he joined Wolves. These are the type of players we need to be signing if we are going to let quality players like Davies leave. Hehas been linked with a £2m move to us but i just cant see Bristol City selling him unless he demands to leave,Even then he would have interest from Premiership clubs
surrifox Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 can't believe that Millwall just allowed him to leave on a free
kidder_wolf Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 can't believe that Millwall just allowed him to leave on a free Southend let Michael Kightly leave for nothing. There are many mistakes in football these are just 2 examples.
dandannieldanok Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 Southend let Michael Kightly leave for nothing. There are many mistakes in football these are just 2 examples. Wolves also made a massive error in getting rid of Akinbiyi to us.
Ric Flair Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 can't believe that Millwall just allowed him to leave on a free Pretty sure his contract expired and he chose to leave, might be wrong though.
kidder_wolf Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 Well according to knowitall its looking likely Davies wont be returning. Hopefully he will get a couple of games for wolves before we go out and waste a million or two on another midfielder. Id rather save the money for next season. He is highly rated and its a shame his wolves career has stopped because of injuries. Ive got a £50 bet with my mate that he goes on to play for England. Time is running out As for Akinbiyi im afraid you deserved that for giving us Mark McGee and Steve Corica
