Uncle Albert Posted 17 January 2009 Author Posted 17 January 2009 Robert 'Patrick' Maybury was my man of the match.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 17 January 2009 Posted 17 January 2009 Thanks mate , which one were you (sorry) ? No worries, Mexico shirt, long(ish) hair, right back / left back. Spent more time on the ground than on my feet. Robert 'Patrick' Maybury was my man of the match. Same for me.
fox123 Posted 17 January 2009 Posted 17 January 2009 I would agree with Maybes MOM, but I thought whoever it was playing Right wing (U21's)first half had a blinder. Decent game, Edit: GLC was steaming when left pub!
Tomassi Posted 17 January 2009 Posted 17 January 2009 Spent more time on the ground than on my feet. Oh i know now, i did a late strikers challange on you, oops sorry ! you took that really well!! well played mate! Me and GLC had some quality banter !! exactly what i wanted from the pre-match hype
Koke Posted 17 January 2009 Posted 17 January 2009 Ref was rubbish to be fair!! You were good, apart from when you blew for a fee kick but then decided to give us the advantage and we scored Tommasi man of the match for me, he's a real handful.
Random Burglar Posted 17 January 2009 Posted 17 January 2009 You were good, apart from when you blew for a fee kick but then decided to give us the advantage and we scored Tommasi man of the match for me, he's a real handful. To be fair i had given up by that point! Over 21's deserved the consolation goal, wouldnt have bothered if i knew i would have got so much shit from the U21's who had already comforatably won!!
Hullfox Posted 17 January 2009 Posted 17 January 2009 We were never going to win today in those conditions. The heavy ground down the middle in the first half meant that Lildave and Berty were gonna run past us (mainly me) all day, and they did time and time again. Both teams missed a hatful of chances in the second half so the score could have ended up as anything really. I have to agree with Sparky though. There was an undercurrent running through certain aspects of the game that for me were not enjoyable and I would be tempted not to bother again. As ever there were some proper gents on both sides though and some top drawer performances from a couple of players. Maybes and Cat Burger get my votes for the respective MOM's I am currently high on Lager and pain killers and have a calf the size of Rutland.

Koke Posted 17 January 2009 Posted 17 January 2009 Were you injured when you come off? That looked pretty painful, hope nothing serious Yeah I did my back, mate. I tried to turn and pass in one go and then my lower back just went ****ed. I knew beforehand that I couldn't handle more than 45 min but 11 min of play is pathetic on my part
GLC Posted 17 January 2009 Posted 17 January 2009 ref annoyed me a little, he blew the whistle but gave the goal after i didnt haver a chance with tommasi's goals! or the first!
GLC Posted 17 January 2009 Posted 17 January 2009 but maybes had a great game, shingler played well when he came on, tommasi is a lucky fecker it was 5-3 in the end,
AoWW Posted 17 January 2009 Posted 17 January 2009 i wasnt that pissed, well played lads, i made some cracking saves! Hmmmm, course you weren't.
stez Posted 17 January 2009 Posted 17 January 2009 the lad down the u21's left did very well, as did bert and shingler was a turn up too! ryan for the o21's and originalrobbofox were great. ched and finners had some nice tussles!
Guest Posted 17 January 2009 Posted 17 January 2009 I like Shindler; another person smaller than me (just). Great to put some more names to faces, and hopefully the pics will be on me facebook soon, although Ched, what the f...........?

fox123 Posted 17 January 2009 Posted 17 January 2009 Yep was nice to meet some of you, I though Jake Shingler skinning Smuts was the highlight of the game. The bloke who was talking to me during the game (don't know if anyone saw), I am sure he was Phil who was in Coronation Street, for those that watch, Phil had a fling with Gail And Eileen.

fox123 Posted 17 January 2009 Posted 17 January 2009 yeah, who was he? was he really a kettering town scout? I don't know who he was to be fair, but he knew his stuff. He liked the look of the right winger for u21's Tommeh? Bert, and Tommassi.
GLC Posted 17 January 2009 Posted 17 January 2009 Im not being big headed, but i made to great saves!
