Uncle Albert Posted 18 January 2009 Author Posted 18 January 2009 Love it. You tool. He did tip it onto the post. If it wasnt for our defence yesterday I think we would off lost. Everyone who played across the back four was brilliant.

Finnegan Posted 18 January 2009 Posted 18 January 2009 I think you give our attacking prowess too much credit . Yourself, Bert and C-Man did a cracking job though to be fair. And the boy Ched did a couple on me in the first half. I've no idea how the fook it happened, but one tackle with him (that wasn't particularly heavy) managed to leave me a busted wrist. Odd.

Uncle Albert Posted 18 January 2009 Author Posted 18 January 2009 'They'll be a bit of banter if he misses this peno' There was even more when I bagged then ripped you. Nah second half we were playing counter-attacking because we didnt have to go looking for goals really and with Bert and Tommeh's pace thats going to be hard for anyone to cope with. Ched was solid yesterday.
Uncle Albert Posted 18 January 2009 Author Posted 18 January 2009 How come you took it after completley bottling it against Talking Balls ? I just really wanted to score as I havent in an FT game. I looked round to the Gaffer (Bert) and he said 'Lofty' and pointed to the spot.

And thats all it took to convince you !!! 9 of our players had took a pen vs Talking balls and you still didnt wanna know , actually Tevez wouldnt have 1 either
Fez of Mahrez Posted 18 January 2009 Posted 18 January 2009 Nah second half we were playing counter-attacking because we didnt have to go looking for goals really I've put this into Google's translator from Banter into English and it's come out as: Nah second half Cobbo and Cat Burger ran the show in midfield
General Smuts Posted 18 January 2009 Posted 18 January 2009 I'm just disappointed that we never got to engage in any banter. Letdown. I think you bantered enough for everyone, missus.

He put his faith into me. Talking Balls was to big a game for me to miss in, the pressure was unbearable. Tevez was before me in line for a peno. I'm just disappointed that we never got to engage in any banter. Letdown. I had to shoot off home or I would off. The Mrs was doing a nut because she had Yoga at 4 down the Community Centre so I had to be there for the kids.

Durnerz Posted 18 January 2009 Posted 18 January 2009 Top day guys, really enjoyed being back in the side. Much closer game I felt than the scoreline suggested but finishing the end the difference really, pleased to get off the mark with my goal so hopefully more to come Can't wait for the next one.

You can help put the nets up or down after you wanted me to bring them.

syston_fox Posted 18 January 2009 Posted 18 January 2009 First time ive had a chance to post since the game - thought it was pretty close really with the U21s taking the first half and we had the edge in the 2nd. Usual suspects for the best player from the U21s but Tommeh was a bugger to play against - he seemed to be everywhere and was so glad when he left the right wing in the second half. Shingler looks a decent player too - always finding space for himself and wanted the ball. Very enjoyable as always and I'm looking forward to the next one. Just a shame that I had to miss the post match drinks!
Corky Posted 18 January 2009 Posted 18 January 2009 Says you! Griefmaster Extraordinaire Have you recovered from him sitting on your hip?
Katy Posted 18 January 2009 Posted 18 January 2009 Have you recovered from him sitting on your hip? Oh yes, forgot about that. It did rather hurt despite him weighing in the negative
