GLC Posted 18 January 2009 Posted 18 January 2009 Yeah - you've got first priority anyway, even though it looks like the next few matches won't be age restricted. i hope the next game is a mix Fox123-I had no chance with the first one, second one i will not go in too, and no chance with the last
Scow Posted 18 January 2009 Posted 18 January 2009 Let's not get bogged down with the controversies of the game. These games are all about having a laugh and playing with/against fellow Leicester supporters. I don't see why it has to get so serious. Well done to the U21's - far too much pace, and a little bit more ability. Furthermore, well done to Rob for agreeing to ref the game. The best moment of the game came when Sir Fynwy (The Steve Howard lump upfront) controlled the ball with the top of his shoulder. Lovely stuff.
Koke Posted 18 January 2009 Posted 18 January 2009 The best moment of the game came when Sir Fynwy (The Steve Howard lump upfront) controlled the ball with the top of his shoulder. Lovely stuff. That was exquisite. And I couldn't help but giggle when a piece of mud landed on his face
Tommeh Posted 18 January 2009 Posted 18 January 2009 Very enjoyable day, on the pitch, loaded dog, maybes sisters party etc. Firstly well done to all debutants, GLC, Shingler, Carl, Stez, cat burger +any others I may have missed, although in particular MTWG (Frankie) top performance and my motm, great bottle shown by all newcomers to get involved. I stayed out of the controversy and tbh I though it was taken a little too far towards the end and maybe a mixture of teams would be good for next time. I think it's all agreed that whilst everyone has differing opinions, your all great people.
JakeShingler Posted 18 January 2009 Posted 18 January 2009 I like Shingler; another person smaller than me (just).Great to put some more names to faces, and hopefully the pics will be on me facebook soon, although Ched, what the f...........? Next game before the Oldham match then? Like i said nice too meet you all. Just wondering was it Sosbanch who came up 2 me at the end and shuck my hand?
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 18 January 2009 Posted 18 January 2009 Thought C-Man and Maybes were class at the back, Ched and Nihat were pretty good aswell. Thought Maybes, C-Man, MTWG and Tommeh were immense today, LilDave was as good as ever and Shingler deserves a big mention too. Firstly well done to all debutants, GLC, Shingler, Carl, Stez, cat burger +any others I may have missed, although in particular MTWG (Frankie) top performance and my motm, great bottle shown by all newcomers to get involved. Cheers boys. Also, apologies if I didn't introduce myself to everyone, I'm just quite quiet.
AoWW Posted 18 January 2009 Posted 18 January 2009 I might make an appearance next time Minus entourage, hopefully.
fox123 Posted 18 January 2009 Posted 18 January 2009 Cheers boys. Also, apologies if I didn't introduce myself to everyone, I'm just quite quiet. Were you the one with the receding hairline?

C-man Posted 18 January 2009 Posted 18 January 2009 Cat Burger was their best player. Absolutely class. Maybes and MTWG were our best players. Ched had a stormer too.
Guest Posted 18 January 2009 Posted 18 January 2009 And I couldn't help but giggle when a piece of mud landed on his face I know you're huge and all that, but piece is a bit of an understatement. Still, he's got lovely skin after the mud pack! Cheers boys. Also, apologies if I didn't introduce myself to everyone, I'm just quite quiet. That's ok, I got loads of pics anyway! Talking of pics, they are on me facebook now, but I haven't tagged anyone yet. For those who don't want to be my friend, you can access them Here Here And here

Simi Posted 18 January 2009 Posted 18 January 2009 Some serious tagging going to be going on later! Just got up. Loved yesterday, first time I've played in ages and it was good to be back. I thought I played alright in the first half before I completely fooked my foot up with a couple of lovely stud marks and a hefty bruise! Second half I was pretty much fooked and the boggy grass helped to show that! Maybes was class as always and Shingler really made an impact when he came on. Over 21's have improved a lot and I think on a different pitch they may well have come close to winning it. But if that's the last type of match we'll see in that format, I think it's a shame.

JoeyB Posted 18 January 2009 Posted 18 January 2009 My Lyon shirt is wrecked. My mud dive was not a good idea . Well enjoyed yesterday, can't wait for the next one.
Finnegan Posted 18 January 2009 Posted 18 January 2009 I can't remember who I shook hands with in total, Jake, but I definitely gave you a pat on the back on the touchline and said well done. Cat Burger mentioned telling you you had a good game so it might have been him! (He was in the Japan shirt, I was the speccy twat with messy hair.) I reckon having gone 90 minutes with both legs in tact I'm claiming some sort of moral victory. Hah. Narh good game though, their defence was as tight as ever and in all fairness to the boy, the GLC between the sticks put in some fair saves. Gutted he pulled off one of his best against me! Thought having Cat Burger and Cobbo together in the middle of our midfield made a massive difference. If we'd played in both halves like we did in the second we might have finished level.

Fez of Mahrez Posted 18 January 2009 Posted 18 January 2009 which one was that the acrobatic one? Jesus, you're worse than my five-a-side captain. "Did you see that save with my feet at the end?" "Yes, Phil" "We would have drawn that otherwise" "Yes, Phil" "I thought I played well to be honest" "Yes, Phil" "I couldn't do anything about their goal" "You've missed the turning, Phil"

Finnegan Posted 18 January 2009 Posted 18 January 2009 It was fairly acrobatic, you went sort of sprawling / diving backwards and tipped it over the bar. T'was a good stop. Average finish though, straight at you imo.
