Tilley Posted 19 January 2009 Posted 19 January 2009 They have 100's of millions to spend & have so far brought.... Craig Bellamy & Wayne Bridge. This fantasy football thing just isn't gonna work! When will they realise this?

When will they realise this? I think it will work EVENTUALLY. However , it is funny in the meantime to laugh at them. Imo they are at least 3 years off the CL, if not more.
Finnegan Posted 19 January 2009 Posted 19 January 2009 Given how much he tithes of his income, mind, I'm surprised the Pope wasn't on the phone telling him to get it done.
Uncle Albert Posted 19 January 2009 Posted 19 January 2009 I hope this geezer at Man City get's bored and pisses off. I think Man City are going to lose their label soon of being one off the best clubs around in bringing good quality players through if they continue to buy alot of foreign players. Robinho was a fluke signing - due to the amount of wages he is on at Eastlands. They are being linked with the likes of Kaka, Terry, Torres and Messi but honestly can you see any off them four players playing for Man City in the next few years? Honestly no. They have even been stupidly 'rumoured' to put a bid in Ronaldo. Thats just plain stupidity.
Bert Posted 19 January 2009 Posted 19 January 2009 They have 100's of millions to spend & have so far brought....Craig Bellamy & Wayne Bridge. This fantasy football thing just isn't gonna work! When will they realise this? I think Sparky wants proven Premiership players at first, in this case both are and have both played in the champions league, and represented their respective countries on a number of occasions. In all reality, Kaka was never going to go to Man City. Robinho was desperate to get out of Real Madrid that he jumped at the biggest offer that came his way.
Alexikokopops Posted 19 January 2009 Posted 19 January 2009 They only got Robinho because he pretty much had to leave Real Madrid kicking up a fuss, expecting to play Champions League with Chelsea. If Chelsea hadn't tried to get the price down by leaving it late they would have failed there too. The big players they want are already on a hundred odd grand a week and so offering them more isn't going to change that much unless they can guarentee Champions League football as well.
Finnegan Posted 19 January 2009 Posted 19 January 2009 To be honest, tragic as I am, my biggest concern is for Ched Evans' future. This whole thing's come at a time just as he was about to be breaking through. Hope he goes to someone at a decent level. Bit afraid he'll vanish off to Celtic and not be seen for years.

Very, after reading this.
Finnegan Posted 19 January 2009 Posted 19 January 2009 Well not like I give a toss about anyone else there!
Finnegan Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 I don't think it's an awful signing. I think it's a silly fee, but then you're going to get used to that from Man City.
Maybes Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 I don't think it's an awful signing.I think it's a silly fee, but then you're going to get used to that from Man City. I tell you what I think. Bellamy and Hughes are having a relationship
Finnegan Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 Every manager has their favourite players. I think Santa Cruz and Bellers with Robinho pushing up from the middle between them sounds like an okay attacking line up for the Prem, though. What they really need is a defence that works, mind.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 They need to stop looking at getting superstars ie. Kaka and Torres, instead go for quality a-grade players
DB11 Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 And now Robinho has stormed out of a training camp and flown back to Brazil
Raj Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 Man City epitomise(Sp) all that is wrong with top end football. It will all go tits up soon. Cant wait for all these mega rich playboys to get bored of football and move into something like bastard snooker!!! FCUK EM!!!
Tilley Posted 20 January 2009 Author Posted 20 January 2009 Robinho has walked out of the training camp in Tenerife.

StanSP Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 I love how they think success will happen immediately. Such naivety. Makes me laugh.
