Walker doesn't seem to make to many mistakes and does make some world class saves every now and then. Thats not forget the flying cheese burgers stint in goal
Ric Flair Posted 25 April 2005 Posted 25 April 2005 Taylor commanded the area alot better than Walker, which always helps a fragile defence like ours.
Fox in a Box Posted 25 April 2005 Posted 25 April 2005 On a boating lake type thing with loadspeaker Mr Walker..................... come in number 1 your time is up, I repeat come in number 1 your time is up ! he doesnt seem interested anymore. Taylor do us a favour and join before anyone else gets you.
TornadoShaunUK Posted 25 April 2005 Posted 25 April 2005 as if hes gona join us =/ - I know hes been here on loan but I cant see him wanting to come here full time even if he does leave Arsenal. We havent exactly had a season where we can say we will definately be up there challenging for promotion next season.
Anish Posted 25 April 2005 Posted 25 April 2005 Taylor commanded the area alot better than Walker, which always helps a fragile defence like ours. 98406 Exactly.
Foxes_Trust Posted 25 April 2005 Posted 25 April 2005 Taylor - unlikely unless he will take a big wage cut
Leicester_Mad Posted 26 April 2005 Posted 26 April 2005 seem to be a minority here but Taylor didnt look that great. His kicking was as bad if not worse than Walker, he wasnt a better shot stopper than Walker all he did was command his area from corners more. Give Walker time to get his confidence back and he shall be his old self
MADLEVEIN Posted 26 April 2005 Posted 26 April 2005 Taylor - unlikely unless he will take a big wage cut 98702 well if he is on twenty grand a week or less then he his cheaper than walker ! i doubt very nuch arsenals third/fourth keeper is on more than 8000 a week

Seemingly that would be Taylor!

Seemingly that would be Taylor! 99327 I think the jury is very much out on Taylor. He didn't sound outstanding nor did he let us down when he was here. Walker is proven and might be persuaded to stay. I'd definitely choose Taylor over Rab Douglas though!! <_<
Frenzied Posted 29 April 2005 Posted 29 April 2005 There's more specualtion about Douglas in the Mercury: Mercury article Meanwhile, Levein has declined to comment on speculation that a deal to bring Celtic goalkeeper Rab Douglas to the Walkers Stadium could be close Looks like Scotland fans don't like him though: Pieshop
Guest Posted 29 April 2005 Posted 29 April 2005 Walker doesn't command his area well enough for my liking, and he does appear to have lost interest but Taylor's kicking is awful most of the time. I wouldn't like to say which one I'd prefer here, to be honest.
Frenzied Posted 29 April 2005 Posted 29 April 2005 It is tricky. Walker certainly doesn't seem to be the same keeper he was before injury and I guess he might be on his way this summer. Taylor's pretty useful but as you said his kicking ain't great. I know very little of Douglas. A mate of mine rates him but having seen the Scottish fans' comments I'm a little wary. Still I trust Levein's assessment of players, considering what he's brought in so far and if Douglas is a target I guess Levein sees something in him.
FNQ Posted 29 April 2005 Posted 29 April 2005 Personally I think Ian Walker is a much better goalkeeper, although I haven't seen that much of Taylor. If Levein is planning on having such a young defence as iut seems (Maybury, Kenton, McCarthy, Stewart), Walkers experience could be invaluable next season. Plus, he has done a great job since he has been here. Well done Peter Taylor!
Louise Posted 29 April 2005 Posted 29 April 2005 It is tricky. Walker certainly doesn't seem to be the same keeper he was before injury100554 Like MdV I suspect that could be cured by a pre-season, being out with an injury for so long in the middle-ish of a season seems to put players on the back-foot for the remainder of the season. I'd prefer Walker

TAFKA Castroneves Posted 29 April 2005 Posted 29 April 2005 I'd prefer Walker. Taylor looks great, but I really want to stick by Ian. He wants to play for the club, he likes playing for the club - and that can only be seen as a positive thing. I'm not saying Taylor doesn't, but I personally want to stick by Ian.
Mad Dog Posted 30 April 2005 Posted 30 April 2005 Cant believe most of you want rid of one of the only Premiership class players we have, and one of only two players with over 100 apps for us. Grow up.
oneleicestercity Posted 30 April 2005 Posted 30 April 2005 i went to watch the leicester reserves vs arsenal on wednesday. i was chattin to taylor after the game, before that i heard that we were allowed to sighn him for 1.2 million. he says that he herd nothing about that......any1 hear anything different?
