StanSP Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 Ah cool, I'd rather Arsenal go through, but to be honest I'm not that fussed. Liverpool got through yesterday which I'm mainly pleased about. And unless Lyon do something remarkable, Barca look set to be going through too. All we need now is Inter Milan to score!!

United are the only English team I have ever wanted to do well, apart from if they come up against Barca.
StanSP Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 Ronaldo! No . And Lyon just got a second courtesy of Juninho. It wasn't a free kick just to let you guys know...
Darkzzz_ Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 Well United are certainly through. Ronaldo as much as I hate the twat is top notch. Barca could be on the rocks against Lyon now then?? I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Lyon pull this back with Barca's calamity defence of late. Let's see.

BoneDog Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 Can't believe the mancs are goin through. The b#stards are just too good
StanSP Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 Last minute goal by Keita makes it 5-2 (6-3 on aggregate) sending Barca through And well done to Man Utd, who I didn't actually want to go through but fair play. Played well at home tonight.
Darkzzz_ Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 Even Barca's result cannot hide my disappointment at the City result. But what the hell, excellent win for Barca. United are top class aren't they. What a team Fergie has. Fingers crossed for Roma.
Edmund Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 Glad the Arsenal-Roma games gone into extra time. More football to watch
StanSP Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 Through: Man utd Liverpool Barcelona Villareal Chelsea Porto Bayern Munich Arsenal/Roma (hopefully Arsenal ) When's the draw for next round?
dandannieldanok Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 Come on Arsenal, will be gutted if they're the first English team out.
StanSP Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 I can see Barcelona or Bayern winning this outright. Really?? I think Barcelona will win it and get revenge for losing against Man Utd last year I don't think Bayern will. Although if Barca weren't to make it through to the final, i'd love Bayern to give Man Utd a right good thrashing in Rome in May!
Darkzzz_ Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 I can see Barcelona or Bayern winning this outright. Barcelona, Bayern or United for me. In that order.
dandannieldanok Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 I can see Barcelona or Bayern winning this outright. Same here, Barcelona on their day are the best football side in the world and Bayern have a formidable frontline. I know that's easy to say after they've scored 12 in 2 games, but it's a simple fact. Klose, Toni, Podolski are all quality strikers and they've got Ribery and Schweinsteiger supplying them. Whether their defence can stand the tougher tests is a completely different matter though. Bayern are the team I personally want to win it.
Darkzzz_ Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 So the lottery of the spot kicks then. Come on Roma.
Fox You Forest Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 Might aswell put Man U's name on the cup now and save time later. Quality penalty from Montella, Cool as you like.
Samilktray Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Kolo Toure's penalty had me punching walls, pumped over that badboy. Phwoar.
fox123 Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 I would say Man Utd, they're the best team in the World at the moment, the way they're playing I can see them doing the Quad.
