Darkzzz_ Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 I think we will all agree on something tonight. Porto were top class. I have to mention Rooney though, United would have been fooked with out him. Very good footballer is he!!

Uncle Albert Posted 7 April 2009 Author Posted 7 April 2009 Porto have really surprised me tonight, I alot like many others thought United were going to give them a right arse wooping after there result on Sunday and in the manner they got that result. Man Utd are looking very shakey at the minute and alot of the players are looking tired, been along 2 seasons for alot of their players with their incredible season last year, then the European Championships for a few of them and then this season with the World Club Championships and they have played every club competition match this season, so tiredness was going to kick in. Could come at the right time for Liverpool.

I know far too many armchair Liverpool fans that will be giving it the big un if they win it , especially some nob who bangs on how great Anfields atmosphere is even though he has only ever been once
Uncle Albert Posted 7 April 2009 Author Posted 7 April 2009 You think Liverpool will nick the title? Why not? United are leaking the goals and arent looking good. They struggled to beat an Aston Villa side who got served a 5-0 romping off Liverpool the previous Premier League fixture and Liverpool go to Craven Cottage and beat Fulham 1-0 where United lost 2-0. Man Utd look tired and flat where as Liverpool dont.
Darkzzz_ Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 They were. Showed no fear, heads didn't drop and kept sending plenty forward all game. Will they try and contain Man Utd in the second leg or play the same way? I am not sure now, I think they will play the same way, it is still dangerous, United are obviously not out of it and you would be stupid to rule them out, that leads me nicely on to Albert's post which is ringing true. Spot on, they have played a lot of football and it could be catching up with them, I still think they will win the title, but Liverpool are certainly not out of it, there will be many twists and turns yet.
Sparky Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 If Liverpool win the title i wonder if Rafa will get his Dirk out
Darkzzz_ Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 If Liverpool win the title i wonder if Rafa will get his Dirk out I must admit, I chuckled a little at how poor that was. I agree with you about the armchair Liverpool fans, some of the idiots round here are clueless, I swear they think Ian Rush (the third chuckle brother) is banging the goals in still.

Was meant to be poor
dandannieldanok Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 Brilliant goal from Adebayor, here's hoping for a Porto-Arsenal semi-final, would be a really great showpiece for European football.
Uncle Albert Posted 7 April 2009 Author Posted 7 April 2009 Would be quite amusing if United didnt win any of the big trophies now. Would be good odds aswell.
Darkzzz_ Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 good !! Was meant to be poor I gathered that. Totally off topic, I wonder if Dirk has a sister. God help us.
purpleronnie Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 Sounds like Porto deserved it, maybe wake up some of the 'Man u will walk it' deluded muppets.
Sparky Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 Fao Unc Albie When Tezev scored you described him as "a little Argie twat " Then youve got fooking Mascerano as your avator
Uncle Albert Posted 7 April 2009 Author Posted 7 April 2009 Hang on a minute , when Tezev scored you described him as "a little Argie twat "Then youve got fooking Mascerano as your avator Yea but Mascherano is a quality player and is their national captain and plays for Liverpool Sparks! So thats aloud.
Tevez Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 Porto were far the better team. Villareal were pretty decent on highlights too.
Darkzzz_ Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 Porto were far the better team. Villareal were pretty decent on highlights too. I heard they were poor second half. Two great goals in that game. I hope Villarreal can go through still, I can't see them doing anything at the Emirates though. <_<
StanSP Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 I heard they were poor second half. Two great goals in that game.I hope Villarreal can go through still, I can't see them doing anything at the Emirates though. <_< Yeah they were. First half they dominated. Man Utd couldn't string 4/5 passes together. I still don't know what's so good about Ji Sung Park. Hulk got no decisions going for him. Rooney's flick was annoying but bloody good! As for Villareal, can't see them getting much at Emirates as you say. Might get a goal, but Arsenal will win I think.
The Doctor Posted 8 April 2009 Posted 8 April 2009 Personally i want to see Manyoo, Arsenal and chelski all knocked out in this round and then l'pool go out in the next round.
