StanSP Posted 1 October 2009 Posted 1 October 2009 Ronaldo is on form and the scary part is I don't even think he has hit his best form yet. La Liga and Europe beware.I can't see any Italian teams getting past the knock-out stages again this season, whilst the league has been exciting, they still need vast improvements to compete in the CL. I hope I'm wrong and Juve progress but they lack a clinical striker. So it's over to the 4 from England again, Madrid, Barca, Bayern and maybe Lyon. Madrid (I hate to say it) will probably win it in their own backyard just due to the amount they have spent and the fact they actually look convincing again. Barca will have a huge say in it and I think Chelsea might too, finally! Plenty of Zola-esque goals this week, Arshavin for Arsenal, Falcao for Porto and my favourite coming from Tihinen in F.C Zurich's win over the awful Milan. Not even Inter? I'm not sure about Juve - mainly because I haven't followed their progress in Serie A recently. Progress after Knockout stages will be, as you say, 4 British clubs + Barca, Madrid, Inter and Lyon. But it all depends on the draw obviously!

I would love to see them go far but I can see the same old happening, although this time round they do have Eto'o.

StanSP Posted 20 October 2009 Posted 20 October 2009 Well yes... but I was expecting a draw at best for barca tonight. Really? Who have Rubin got in their team that would restrict Barca to a draw at Nou Camp??
AjcW Posted 20 October 2009 Posted 20 October 2009 Really?Who have Rubin got in their team that would restrict Barca to a draw at Nou Camp?? Domiguez is quality, and from what I sore in the first have, occupied barcas normally expansive defence and midfield.
StanSP Posted 20 October 2009 Posted 20 October 2009 Rangers losing to Unirea 2-1 . They're definitely minnows Ibra equalises for Barca. Samuel makes it 2-2 for Inter.
