Kisnorbo in early Leicester move

Hearts have allowed defender Patrick Kisnorbo to complete his move to Leicester City ahead of schedule.

The 24-year-old Australian signed a pre-contract agreement with the Foxes in January and was expected to head for the Walkers Stadium in the summer.

"I'm very grateful to (Hearts manager) John Robertson," Kisnorbo told the Edinburgh Evening News.

"After everything appeared to be put on hold a few months ago, I can now get on with my career at Leicester."

I doubt he's allowed to play so this must just be so he can settle in with the squad early, a good idea if you consider how we have been constantly told that the squad needs to 'gel'

So is he still injured or will he be eligible to play? (or do we have to wait till the transfer window opens again?)

He won't be able to play, I'm sure of that.

Similar thing happened when Holland and Hreiderson went to Charlton from Ipswich I believe and they couldn't play until the new season.

So do we think he's come early to get to know the players and gel?

Seems strange that Hearts would let him move early

I assume so!

And maybe to get off Hearts wage budget.

Hearts are still paying his wages. Just a nice gesture by the sounds of things.

Well, if they wouldn't mind paying mine too.

Won't be long before an idiot rings the Monday phone in to complain that "CL signs these new players then they can't get in the team. We should play Benjamin up front, but I don't get down to the game much now"

Well done Hearts by the way.

He has been injured for a few months but has been effectively fit for a month or so now but Hearts haven't played him as they know he's leaving. If they aren't going to play him it makes sense to let him move down here to get a feel for Leicester. Although coming from a lovely place such as Sydney and then Edinburgh he'll probably want out by the time June comes after seeing the delights of our Citeh.

Please turn out to be a good player Kisnorbo, please!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's strange that Hearts won't play him because he's moving to us. Thomas Hitzlsperger at Villa is in the same situation, yet Villa have still played him recently despite his pre-contract with Stuttgart.

Remember they do have a new manager, so he may not rate him. Do you think he'd be playing De Vries if Levein didn't bring him down with him? I don't like managers bringing their chums from their previous clubs. Adams - Brooker, Taylor - Lewis, Levein - De Vries <_<

Bang on with your assesment Hoof, I hate to burst your baloon but Paddy would probably be 3rd choice holding midfield in the current Hearts squad and nothing like a Hitzlsperger ! sorry ! having said that he's an honest pro who's young and fit and wont let you down but there really was no point hanging on to him under the new regime.

From the OS:

Kisnorbo Arrives Early

Hearts midfielder Patrick Kisnorbo is undergoing his rehabilitation with Leicester City following a knee operation.

The 24-year-old Aussie, who has signed a pre-contract agreement to join the Foxes in the summer, is currently undergoing treatment at the Belvoir Drive training ground with the Leicester City medical staff.

City boss Craig Levein said: "He has had a cartlidge operation on his knee and we thought it would be a good idea if he undertook his rehabilitation here in Leicester rather than up in Hearts.

"He will be joining us from next season and it will be good for him to get to know the rest of the lads beforehand."

Hope he doesn't turn out to be another crock ala Eadie, Morris etc.

From what I've heard from Hearts fans, he could be a more effective holding player than Joey.

We can only hope...

I've always said we need a third-choice player from a second-rate SPL team.

Aim high.

On the flip side of that though is nobody is expecting him to be any good so he could come down and do the business. I've been frustrated plenty of times when we've signed what appear to be good players and i've got my hopes up only for them to disappoint. When you expect a player to be crap and they aren't, now that's a nice surprise!
