I could get into a fight tommorow, no fault of my own, just defending myself and get 18 months.................sometimes the justice system lets us down badly, this ia a prime example, the peer knowingly endangered lives and took a life!!

Whether texting was to blame or not he should realise how lucky he is and take his punishment with a bit of dignity. Edit; Just seen the full story on the news. I'm talking shit, ignore me.
