There's actually quite a significant distinction.The guests in question, who have already travelled some distance (OK, maybe not as much as you, but still worthy of respect) to watch City this season will be present at Millwall and probably Peterborough too. That's more than can be said for all the part-time once-a-season merchants who turned up in force yesterday and apparently remained mute for most of the match, except to mindlessly celebrate opposition goals. The sooner they disappear back into the wood work, the better! Yeah and those said fans, one of whom lives near me and hasn't been to watch City at all this season got a ticket and I got fooked over by the ticket office which has left me bitter. Although they have said they will make sure I get my Millwall tickets.

And that bloke who tried to start on an MK fan. Was it that blonde man on aisle 38. If it was he was so hilarious when we went 1-0 up with him signalling 1-0 two the away fans.

Matt Posted 1 March 2009 Posted 1 March 2009 The bloke next to me, and to be fair to him he was singing, wanting to stand, wanting to make an atmosphere but twats behind us told us to sit - as there was kids behind us we did sit, begrudgingly. But he had a moan expect he couldn't have been more wrong he was basically saying all these people who are her sitting here making no noise, their all priority ones ain't they, they just get their through advertising or knowing people within the club the ain't coming week in, week out or anything...I was like no if they are priority one it is because they make up our main away support regularly, its your priority 2 (To some extent), priority 3, members and general sale that are the ones not making any noise and just sitting here. Its really annoying when you have kids behind you because it is unfair to stand cos they can't see, and we do need people to bring kids to games because they are the "next generation" of support but at the same time I disagree bringing kids to football (little kids). Oh yeah and I really didn't appreciate being poked in the back/kidneys with a programme by one the kids dads telling me to sit. At this point I didn't realise kids were behind me so stood, but instead a speaking up and saying "Excuse me mate, Do you mind sitting as we have got kids with us and they can't see with you standing" he decided to poke me in my back, I turned round and he said angrily "Sit mate, the kids can't see". willy puller.

lcfcadam Posted 1 March 2009 Posted 1 March 2009 Sitting down with the bloody mutes all game was hard to take - I had a glimmer of hope when everyone around stood for the first 30 seconds but pretty soon after the temptation of the padded seats was obviously too much. Desperately trying to get involved with the singing is just embarrassing when it's you and no one else around you. Next time I'm just gonna fook my allocated seat and join the proper fans wherever they are. After Scunny, Leeds and Rovers, where the atmosphere was great (especially on the terraces at the Mem having all that banter with Pearson and the players!), I suppose it was a bit of a let down. However, the celebrations at the end were probably the best moment I've ever experienced as a football fan, so the day was definitely worth it. Hope there's no difficulty getting Millwall tickets now, I can't imagine there being many blankets and flasks at The Den though...

I've had a season ticket for the past 10 years years and travel to a significant number of away games. I rarely sing. Does that mean I'm not a "proper fan"? And the padded seats were just so comfortable, no wonder nobody wanted to stand up And on the subject of their ground, that's going to be a really special place when it's all complete. It'll be a tough place to go to when that top tier is done if they manage to fill it. And the fact that you go in at ground level with the pitch below is a nice touch, being able to see from that area at the top was great. Impressive stadium, impressive team, and all the fans I spoke to on the way in and out were nice and friendly. Gradel's free kick deserves to earn a point in any game!

I probably agree with you on that, you can't complain about noise at a football game. You must expect it when you buy a ticket. I love it when we make noise, by the way, I think it's fantastic. At Walsall a few games ago we made the atmosphere in the absence of any noise from the Walsall fans, and our chants were surprisingly witty and imaginative. I don't have anything against people who don't sing, because I rarely sing at football games. Not sure what I feel about standing up. I'd stand up for the whole game if everyone in front of me was standing up, but if somebody is standing up on their own in front of me I'll ask them to sit down. Some days I can't be arsed to get out of my seat either, especially if I've just bought a steak Pukka and a Yorkie. Please don't make me stand up half way through my pie.

Also fair play to the fans behind us, stood until the stewards came (although gave in waaaaay too easily) then didn't moan at us for standing in front of the which was 15 mins - h/t. Then 2nd half thought fook it if 4 lads can do it so can we, yeeeeaaaahhh, go Foxes!

When those subs came on and the defender went down after being heinously attacked by a rogue gust of wind, I said to somebody "I bet he won't add a second of this on". And to my surprise, he added every second of it on. Completely justified too, all the time wasting was compensated for. He wasn't card-happy either, ref had a good game!

If it weren't for me Tom you'd have been kicked out before half time when you went to listen to the stewards who wanted "a word in the concourse". Everybody knows that's code for "kicking you out". Fair play though, I was close to agreeing with you.
