TrickyTrev Posted 10 March 2009 Posted 10 March 2009 Tommy GoodwinOne appearance in an early injury ravaged team in O'Neill's first season btw Tom Williamson is a great name for this thread Nope. Goodwin played in a premier league game when we were resting players for the league cup final.
Corky Posted 10 March 2009 Posted 10 March 2009 Nicky Mohan "Oh look, he's given away a penalty again" Nope. Goodwin played in a premier league game when we were resting players for the league cup final. The 1-3 defeat to West Ham in 1999/2000.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 10 March 2009 Posted 10 March 2009 Sam McMahon been mentioned yet? He was a good one. Kevin Ellison.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 10 March 2009 Posted 10 March 2009 I remember us getting linked with a Danish striker called Soren Fredericksen from AaB. Dunno if he ever came on trial. Not saying he ever signed for us obviously.
StanSP Posted 10 March 2009 Posted 10 March 2009 Rico, I don't like your name Have Gabor Bori and Zsolt Lackso been mentioned?!
TrickyTrev Posted 10 March 2009 Posted 10 March 2009 "Oh look, he's given away a penalty again" The 1-3 defeat to West Ham in 1999/2000. And we won the league cup in 2000. The West Ham game was 3 days before our semi final first leg with Aston Villa. Not the final as I thought, but still.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 10 March 2009 Posted 10 March 2009 Fernando Pasquinelli surely. Great shout. I remember loving it when we signed him, albeit I think he was only ever on trial as with Sascha Lenhart. Edwin Ouom!!!!!!!!
Corky Posted 10 March 2009 Posted 10 March 2009 Fernando Pasquinelli surely. That Argentine guy O'Neill signed? Forgot about him.
Thracian Posted 10 March 2009 Posted 10 March 2009 Does Lombard count? Can't even remember his first name and can't be bothered to look it up.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 There was a Charlie Miller. Scottish player I think? Yeah won SPL player of the year once and is currntly running the show for Queensland.........only ever plays 60mins as he looks overweight and unfit. But still a very good professional player. I'll add Steve Corica to the list.
Shrenchel Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 fooking After hearing conflicting reports from my mates in Bristol about what popped off between the leeds and the rovers lads on saturday I took a trip over to waccoe.com earlier today to see what their take on it was. A very popular topic posted about lunchtime was 'Most obscure Leeds player you can think of'. Even stealing our forum topics from 'bigger clubs' are we now boys?
jonw88 Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 Hossein Kaebi - fastest player on the planet, left Roberto Carlos for dead on numerous occassions, but in all truth couldn't even get round Peter Gilbert.
5waller5 Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 Norman Leet Damn - beat me to it - His dad Dave Leet was my junior football team manager and norman re-instated me from the bench to full back when he looked after the team for two weeks whilst his dad was on hols - which given that he was a left back i was very proud of!! Did he play 5 games for us?? General Smuts Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 I nursed him when he was on my ward after he had that horrendous car crash whilst he was with us. Mike Galloway that is, not Franz Carr. I was so gutted when i heard about that. Top fella, legend and was a real shame his career was cut so short. Peter bloody Canero Have we all heard the story of when i met the Can Can man? Sam McMahon been mentioned yet? He was a good one. Sam Mcmahan presented me with my championship winning medal at Ratby & Groby in the early 90s. What a guy. Heskey presented it the year after, Walsh the following year. Bit of a step up!

Ric Flair Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 Martin Henderson. Ended up getting fairly good mates with his son on holiday a couple of years back, before then i'd never even knew he's played for us.
