JakeShingler Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 Has anyone else got the blackmail letter from Tinbergen this morning? Yes and has my brother and had texts.
Legend_in_blue Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 I am getting fed up with this. This is really beginning to irritate me. Countless emails, countless texts, countless ads here there and everywhere and now a letter through the post to 'REMIND ME'. I am intelligent enough to know when March 15 is. I do not require constant reminders. I will make you stew LCFC until 1.59pm on Sunday. Just because I can. I'm still getting your £50 ready for you in 1 penny coins. You'll love it. 5 000 coins in a box. :w00t:
Daggers Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 Daggers....two things....im guessing u went to see wathcmen(what did u think...amazing ey....and do u know anywere i could get ure picture as a costume for crewe??) secondly.... maybe people need reminding by that stupid merc columnist that you can renew on direct debit and therfore you dont need to find a spare three hundred in a few days, u just need the 50 quid and then three hundred over a nice comfortable period of time.I personally dont see what all the fuss is about. I think the club have done well this year with st renewals. 1. No, I read the book 2. If you can't see what is annoying so many people about the season ticket renewal then there's nothing I have to add to the matter.

Asking ST holders to pay for an ST in MARCH is just plain idiotic.

Asking ST holders to pay for an ST in MARCH is just plain idiotic. No, he has a valid point. We are not being asked to pay for a ST in March. There are choices (DD or pay for one later). The only problem about the March deadline is the price. Up until Sunday, we have the opportunity to renew for the same price (some for less). Post Sunday, we can still renew albeit for an increase in cost. You are moaning that you will have to pay more on Monday. Prices have been frozen for two years!! There isn't much around (goods/services) that can match that. I'm with you in relation to the way the whole thing has been promoted, but not in relation to the deadline or choices you have.

THATS the thing. WE ARE! Else some fcuker can claim your seat!!!(AS they are so inundated im sure with ST inquiries already!!!!) Some of you dont get it do you? I dont give a fcuk about the price of the ST...i KNOW on the whole its a good deal. Its just the fact that the club want you to guarantee that you'll renew and pay the money SO EARLY. As per me moaning regarding the prices being frozen for the last 2 years etc..Have you seen the shite we have been served up for the last 4-5 years? If the club want to rebrand us as being in the "Entertainment Industry" they may have to learn to pitch to the right audience at the right price. Some clubs have REALLY frozen prices and in some cases DECREASED prices. In times of recession, perhaps some people see an ST as a luxury they cant afford. Mind you with the Direct Debit(And 4 pound charge per transaction!) im sure that will work out for most people... Dont forget next season to renew by the time you see this fcuker out and about-

(Waits for principle arguement) Re: shite football and entertainment industry...if the club could guarantee me great games and mostly wins for an extra 10% on my ticket price, I'd take it! Isn't that part of going to the games? Not knowing what's gonna happen. Will it be an upset, walkover or packed with controversy? Re: some clubs frozen/decreased moan...we have! Re: quote from Raj "i KNOW on the whole its a good deal" LCFC makes me a miserable old git! It IS the principle in ensuring you guarantee your seat at such an early date that IS the issue...i donet see masses of Non ST holders trying to break down the dooors at LCFC wanting to get to my seat!! Entertainment Industry-The Club would love families and Corporate fans instead of toe rags. But who will they turn to when Football has lost its appeal? we HAVE NOT frozen prices. PRICE FREEZE means PRICE FREEZE. FULL STOP. No ifs and Buts. Price Freeze is a Price Freeze. This is NOT. Its a fcuking gimmic. Go on Monday to renew and tell me where you get the Price Freeze!!! Ive said its a decent deal. Im not arguing against that. Ive said enough baout this shite now....Up The City!!!
Tilley Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 Ginetta is an arsehole. I really do not think I'm going to renew. This, "Pay up or lose your seat' shite is what has annoyed me more than anything. I mean, I've lost my seat for next season as of Monday & it's only March!? Joke.
davieG Posted 12 March 2009 Author Posted 12 March 2009 A deposit will guarantee your seat. £4 admin charge when you settle the rest will hardly break the bank. (Waits for principle arguement) Not very attractive when they then only give you two weeks in which to pay the balance , it's not even a monthly fee at that.
davieG Posted 12 March 2009 Author Posted 12 March 2009 I'm beginning to thing there's a conspiracy going on at the Club. I've been bombarded for days now via text, email and post begging me to renew my ST by the 15th and yet no matter how hard I try I'm unable to. I've tried on line and yet despite having a ST for 20 years I'm informed I don't have on to renew. I've tried ringing - foolishly optimistic I know but no reply. I've tried emailing them with the details and my phone number and I know they opened it yesterday but again no response. Now I know they're obviously busy but they must have received and ignored lots of emails, how difficult would it be to set up a standard response saying something like: 'We've received your request and will respond to it as soon as we can. In the meantime rest assured that we will now consider this a purchase before the deadline and charge you accordingly' As I've received no response at all it leaves me to believe they either don't want me to renew before the deadline but afterwards so that I end up having to pay the increase.
Webbo Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 I must admit I'm slightly miffed at having to renew so early but I did so this morning. It's not all bad news, by buying an adult and an under16 ST together I saved £48, which isn't bad in my book. Not only that but they were giving away free bags of crisps as well.
Daggers Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 ...As I've received no response at all it leaves me to believe they either don't want me to renew before the deadline but afterwards so that I end up having to pay the increase. BOOM! And there we have it ladies and gentlemens - the absolute truth about the Club's renewal strategy: give the opportunity but throttle the access. Interrnet service providers do it, Love Film do it...LCFC do it.
Guest Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 I am going down in person, when I can be bothered to get up off this chair. Yesterdays Red Bull is beginning to wear off....
Kilworthfox Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 Did you know that Norwich facing relegation have already sold 17000 tickets so we are not the only ones with an early deadline for bfrozen prices They have a policy of spreading the cost over 12 months, they have frozen their prices, their fans were made aware in January of their policy which they have a deadline to pay for this by 3rd of April 2009. They have sold over 11,000 so far
Houdini Logic Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 I think its more of a concern that the club refuse to budge on this issue. Why? Have they got to make a payment to someone by 31st March? Or does it prop up the end of year figures? I would love to know why they are sticking with this. All down to this man I imagine: The longer he has our money the more time he has to invest it and (hopefully) make more money. Businesses do it Councils do it Charities do it LCFC do it.

Quite right except they say they need the money to invest in new players for next season but today Hoos explains that the money can't be spent by Pearson until May 2nd.
