StanSP Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 Saw in the post-match thread that someone had a 'lucky scarf' and 'lucky socks'. So just wondering if any of you believe in them? And if so, what have you got?? Do you go by specific pre-match rituals; wear any specific clothing for a match; or even carry lucky charms around hoping that one of them/all will make a difference?
Guest Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 Same turnstile every home match for me, turning up to away games ridiculously early (although this isn't necessarily ritual, just over-cautiousness )
Corky Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 Back in 2001/2002 season I decided to start a lucky ritual, which involved wearing my LCFC socks to every home match, in the hope we'd win. You all remember the first home match of that campaign, so it didn't really work. Can't be bothered with anything now.

Corky Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 I hope you've burned those socks. They got a hole in them, so I threw them out. They were doing alright for the first 15 minutes
Part Of The Crowd Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 I have a lucky pair of Guiness boxers that haven't seen us lose.
Guest Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 I always try not to have diahoreah on matchdays So..... lucky Immodium then?
Unit Posted 11 March 2009 Posted 11 March 2009 I always try not to have diahoreah on matchdays I'm the opposite, if i feel the need for a dump around kick off, we always win. generally we will score if i decide to take the 'special dump'... and you thought jose mourinho was good! I AM THE SPECIAL POO!
Tilley Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 My LCFC home socks haven't seen a loss this season. I didn't wear them to Millwall at home, I didn't go Brighton, Tranmere or any of the cup games.

CosbehFox Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 Never lost in White Socks. Never wear Green (as I did last night). - And that one's serious. I try and avoid wearing Green when watching City play. Alteratively, I watch City this season = no loss and that's 19 games unbeaten run for myself.
C-man Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 Always go in turnstile 23, unless we've lost the previous game when I go in 22.
Daggers Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 My favourite fluffy red socks. Clash T-shirt. Wales '77 replica shirt. Lucky motorbike.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 On every occasion I have read the Leicester Mercury on the day of a City match, before a City match, they have lost. And I glanced at it yesterday. Losing the record, it was all my fault! When I'm playing it's always left boot on first, for some reason.
Bert Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 Watching. Lucky Boxers and same turnstile every week. Playing. 3 pairs of socks.
StanSP Posted 12 March 2009 Author Posted 12 March 2009 Watching.Lucky Boxers and same turnstile every week. Playing. 3 pairs of socks. 3? Football socks or normal socks?? Or just trying to make your feet look bigger ?
Katy Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 I have my 'lucky' LCFC v Athletico Madrid scarf, which I sadly forgot to bring to the game last night however, I forgot it at Bristol Rovers and we won so maybe it's nowt to do with luck.
Bert Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 3? Football socks or normal socks?? Or just trying to make your feet look bigger ? Ankle socks. Normal socks. Football socks.

AmericanScott Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 Last season my girlfriend was my lucky charm. Her first game was the Watford at home match. Ipswich on boxing day. Then she saw us thrash Norwich. All of these matches we sat in D2. The one game we could only get tickets in C something we lost to Hull. It's my fault for not bringing her to Wednesday at home...
Tilley Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 My LCFC home socks haven't seen a loss this season.I didn't wear them to Millwall at home, I didn't go Brighton, Tranmere or any of the cup games. My socks are still unbeaten after yesterday.
