CosbehFox Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 1-0 scramble of a win off a corner. 25 City fans hospitalised in the worst injuries ever sustained in football celebrations, 10 City fans found at 3.30pm in London Bridge Wetherspoons licking tables and playing football with a peanut, 1 City fan suffering third degree burns around his bottom from touching cloth for 90 minutes and the most symbolic day of the season so far.
Legend_in_blue Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 This poll is evenly balanced - 17 - 18 - 18. I'm concerned for us though. Have we got the bottle to bounce back? I don't know.
GLC Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 1-1, Howard for us McLeod for them EDIT: I clicked lose, i meant to pick draw
MC Prussian Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 1-1, Howard for us McLeod for them EDIT: I clicked lose, i meant to pick draw No problem, kiddo. I clicked draw but meant loss - it's straightened out once more. There's always a moderator kind enough to come to the rescue..
Fox92 Posted 12 March 2009 Posted 12 March 2009 Ohh my, what a difficult game to go into after a 2-0 loss. But, it may have been the kick up the backside we needed. Haven't won at Millwall for years and I'm not going to predect what the score will be.
maddog Posted 12 March 2009 Author Posted 12 March 2009 We only last 'cos Maddog didn't do the optimeter. Weirdly enough i never did one for the Millwall Home match either. So 2 of our 3 loses this season have come when i haven't done an optimeter
CosbehFox Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 Haven't won at Millwall for years In our last visit, we won 1-0 there!! http://www.soccerbase.com/results3.sd?gameid=480926
FilboFox Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 Hell it's close... I went for a win, only a tight one but I think Pearson will have let them know what he thought about the 2-0 loss to Tranmere and we'll be ready for this game to bounce back. Come on Citeh!
Ultra Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 Looking back over the fixtures everyloss we have had this season we have bounced back and won the next game. Well that's another record we're gonna lose this week. It takes strength of character to win at Millwall and at the moment our players don't have that. Having yet another goalkeeper, behind an inexperienced back four, isn't gonna help either. Before Tuesday night, the gap between us and Peterborough stood at 12 points. I expect that figure to be halved tomorrow evening.
Thracian Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 Anything but a defeat will be a bonus. I failed to understand Pearson's approach on Wednesday and it's not become any clearer since. Playing defensively in a cauldron-like atmosphere of seething home supporters might have been intimidating and might have justified the notion of quietening the home attack then picking off a goal. But Prenton Park was hardly Anfield. Our fans far outsang the opposition even when they took the lead so there really was nothing psychological to intimidate us. Millwall will present a far more threatening welcome and we really need to have the ability to counter quickly and in some numbers. But after the Tranmere game I seriously question whether the team's got the heart for it. Or Pearson the belief.
CosbehFox Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 But after the Tranmere game I seriously question whether the team's got the heart for it. Or Pearson the belief. Deary me. You trying to suggest that they don't want to win the league or have the belief. If that's the case, let's up give up go home and declare ourselves finished. The team's got the heart and Pearson's got the belief but that could be our problem - the lack of experience when it comes to a situation like this. This is Pearson's first full season of management and a lot of these players their first full campaign of football at this level (Hobbs for example despite his reptuation has never been involved in a season so much as this.)
BoneDog Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 I'm starting to feel nervous about tomorrow now. This match is so important after recent form. A few weeks ago I had no worries about winning this league but It's not over like I thought. I will be happy with a point at Millwall, a win and I'll be jizzin

James. Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 Alright maybe not the scramble off the corner but another can of Predigree Chum on it's way. I think you were just copying me... 1 defeat and all of a sudden 24 out of 30 people don't think we'll win. Haha.1-0 Leicester. No team will do the double over us this season.
