dilko2008 Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 LCFC Commentator Ian Stringer was on the last series of the apprentice!!, type his name in you tube !
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 yes it has been said a long, long, long, long time ago he got fired 3rd
Legend_in_blue Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 Are you sure this is the same Ian Stringer? I am an avid watcher of The Apprentice and he sounded nothing like he sounds on the radio. If it is, then fair play, the bloke is a legend. The Gradel goal celebration will be forever etched in my mind - a pure classic moment in lcfc radio broadcasting.
City Lad Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 LCFC Commentator Ian Stringer was on the last series of the apprentice!!, type his name in you tube ! Its even more interesting if you search his name in Google.
BoneDog Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 "Today Kirsty, 28, says he IS a loser - for abandoning his toddler son and daughter in a quest to become Sir Alan Sugar's £100,000 a year Apprentice." "Left her and the children, broke, homeless and with spiralling debts." The glory hunting barstad! Is it him though for sure?
leftsideoverhere Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 It's definitely the same bloke - there are press stories about him getting on the apprentice even though he was working for the BBC at the time, and then going back to working in local radio afterwards. However, I wouldn't believe anything you read in the Sun. Even apart from it being the scummiest newspaper ever it specifically goes out of its way to find / pay for stories about contestants in reality TV shows, the more sensational the better. So there's no reason to believe that story about Stringer is even a little bit true.
Darkzzz_ Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 I like Stringer, he is great to listen to when you can't make the games. He has certainly livened up the radio coverage and beats Barber hands down, hated that guy.
Darkzzz_ Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 I didn't know nothing about this until around 4 minutes ago.
Legend_in_blue Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 ? have you lot just figured this out. We're all a bit slow on here mate.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 He used to do commentary for the BBC covering Wycombe Wanderers last season Thats where he learnt his trade!
Kilworthfox Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 I don't like him. I think his commentary although better than shagger that twat we had before, is crap. Now after reading the story about how he left his wife & kids for a dolly bird, the bloke is obviously a ****, LCFC fan or not.
Koke Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 Not bothered about his personal life and who he shagged, as long as he does a decent job on Radio Leicester, which in fairness he dos.
clazkel Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 I dont get to hear alot of his commentary as im at most of the games, but after home games they run through his commentary of the highlights of the game and i think its great, he gets excited when Leicester score, fair play to him!
mitchofox Posted 14 March 2009 Posted 14 March 2009 it is him http://www.bbc.co.uk/leicester/content/art...e_feature.shtml
Manderic's pants Posted 14 March 2009 Posted 14 March 2009 It's definitely the same bloke - there are press stories about him getting on the apprentice even though he was working for the BBC at the time, and then going back to working in local radio afterwards. So there's no reason to believe that story about Stringer is even a little bit true. Tis true. My friend works for the People specifically digging up dirt on 'love rat' reality TV contestants (it's a livin' innit). Chances are even if he did cheat on his wife, the woman did it specifically to get the £40k for later selling her story...
StanSP Posted 14 March 2009 Posted 14 March 2009 ? have you lot just figured this out. Exactly my reaction!
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 14 March 2009 Posted 14 March 2009 Is this thread going to turn in to an advertisement for viagra
lifted*fox Posted 14 March 2009 Posted 14 March 2009 I was listening to Northampton's coverage on the radio today on the way up the M1 to Leicester, waiting for it to switch over to Radio Leicester, and I have to say, their commentry was proper average. Stringer is great on the radio & always gives a great feel to the game with the way he commentates. Clearly loves the team & gets passionate, which is fantastic if you can't make it.
