Adams returns to Leicester

:dunno:

They're second in the league and he seemed to have been playing regularly.

Can't have been that bad. We can't really judge without having seen his games for them, they seem sad to be rid of him.

I'm aware it's a lower level and that Adams has never exactly set League One on fire but there's no need to get negative really. None of us train with City, we can't have a clue what's going on between Porter and Nige. No point playing players if they don't get on with you, you need a bit of harmony in the squad.

We're top of the League yet there's plenty in our team have been disappointing so what are you trying to tell me? That Adams is somehow the business?

I'd love him to do well - but have seen nothing to make me excited or to suggest that he's a better option than Porter.

You have touched on an important point though - whether people get on with you.

And I don't see it matters at all. If a manager only picks people he gets on with he might wait years to get a side together.

You and I might not get on but it wouldn't stop me respecting your views and wouldn't stop me giving you a job if you demonstrated the ability to do it properly.

Rochdale lost 3-0 last night without him

I thought he was better than Gradel this season before he left, he was putting in better minutes on the pitch and playing U21 football.

Hope he plays Saturday.

How come Porter hasn't asked for a loan move?

Because Man Utd, Barca and Real aren't hunting for a loanee at the moment and no one else is big enough.

Porter has already turned all those teams down, he's too big for them, the only reason we don't play him is to stop the phones becoming jammed with calls from all of the top clubs.

It's all about the key passes. Sheehan produces about 300 a game, along with 7 potential assists and 17 shots (off target).

He seems to be doing his best to motivate them!

From a Posh rag (was also in the Merc)

LEICESTER winger Nicky Adams has fanned the flames ahead of Saturday's sell-out showdown at London Road by suggesting his side could inflict another hammering on Posh. Posh arrived at The Walkers Stadium in December defending a 16-game unbeaten run in League One, but were thrashed 4-0.

Adams, who has been recalled from a loan spell at Rochdale to cover for a handful of key unavailabilities, said: "They were on a good run then, but we wiped the floor with them, and I hope we can do the same this time.

"They are a good side but we are top and, if we turn up with our A game, we should be okay."

Posh boss Darren Ferguson preferred a low-key approach as far as predictions were concerned, although it's clear that he is still smarting from that December result.

Ferguson said: "Losing at Leicester was easily the lowest ebb of my managerial career and everyone is determined to put right the result from that day.

"By Saturday afternoon we could be closer to Leicester than we have been at any stage this season, but we are not about to start making silly statements of what we might do.

"The aim has always been and remains to win promotion. The season is not all about this one game. Every match is just as important as this one, but for now we are not looking any further than Saturday.

"We are not doing anything different in training or making any specific plans for the match. We had a warm-down on Monday and then did a good session on Tuesday as usual.

"The lads were off yesterday and we will start working on Leicester today. We are not doing anything different to what we would during any clear week between Saturday games.

"Most of our games from now until the end of the season have an edge to them and I wouldn't have it any other way. Teams with nothing to play for tend to play without fear."

Lee Frecklington will return to the Posh squad providing he comes through training unscathed today.

The former Lincoln midfielder has been sidelined since suffering a hamstring strain in a home victory against Carlisle last month.

Trips to play-off chasing Oldham, automatic promotion rivals Millwall and local rivals Colchester are still on the agenda for Posh as well as a home date against top six outsider Stockport.

Rock-bottom Cheltenham and a Swindon side only sitting three points above the League One relegation zone also have to visit London Road.

That they're clearly good enough for League One. :dunno:

You know as much as I do - that Rochdale are playing well (suggesting they've alright players) and that they're sad to see him go (suggesting they rate him as one of the aforementioned.)

That sounds promising, I just think it's a little bit more unnecessary than usual to be getting negative about performances you haven't seen because he didn't come back with ten goals. All for the sakes of defending a player (Porter) who clearly isn't going to have any impact on our season, for whatever reason.

But he isn't Levi, therefore shouldn't get a chance :P

Rochdale seemed very reluctant to let him come back, what with the messages on their site.

Still a fan of him, looks like he's got some bite about him, some energy. Should be decent enough cover.

Want him to get a decent chance.
