Where have all the money for Walcott, Bale and Kenwyne Jones gone? Were they just hoping they would one day fluke it back to the Premiership, clear all their debts and act like nothing happened?

I hope they get all that's coming to them, the bastards sent us down last season (no blame on Pearson  ) so to see us swap positions and see the look on Le Tissier's face when they do would be AWESOME!

It would be harsh to see them go out of business though.

In any case, the reasons for our demise last season lie much closer to home.

Bastarding Holloway

Funny that nobody's employed him since

Southampton have been a basket case for years because of their new stadium, just like us, they almost went down last year which would have saved us from the drop (we didn't deserved to stay up!).

The league finances are totally messed up because everyone is chasing the premiership which has over 75% of all the money, the way to fix football finances in the UK would be to kill the premiership and put in a proper wage cap botrh of which won't happen.

I know what your saying but they didn't send us down did they? We were consistently shit for the whole season - Sending ourselves down.

I think we needed to come down, As a reality check and hopefully rebuild (Some key additions have been made to our team this season, Some permanent, Some loanees which hopefully will be permanent and hopefully some more good additions will be made over the summer), unfortunately to some extent I don't think it has worked, some of our fans still think we are bigger than we are and we shouldn't be in this league - Despite being poor enough in previous seasons to get deserve and warrant relegated thus deserving to be in this league.

shit,

I had forgotten about that.

But we were fcuking gash last season. Seems so long ago now.

Seemed really bad going down at the time, but this season has ruled.

ive always had it in for southampton since they sacked Paul Sturrock when they were doing well in the league and he got sacked because a few players didnt like his methods.

Ive heard they cannot be docked points this season as its past a certain point in the season now. ( Leeds doing what they did created a new rule) So any points will be docked from the start of next season.

Starting in League One with no money, a player exodus and a ten point deduction? They'll be nearer worst than first.

Not sure whether the parent company going into admin should result in points deduction. They key point is that if the CLUB is in admin, then the CLUB would be negotiating with it's creditors to pay them less and therefore getting benefit. That is not the case. Frankly the parent co being in admin would be no different to Milan going bankrupt and selling City. Or in fact from anyone selling their shares in a club to someone else.

I hope they show why they are in this shit on the pitch today. Im going down there and im still recovering from the flu, now thats support for you

Milan doesn't personally own our stadium though LCFC does. Their parent company from what I understand does own St Marys and has amassed other debts relating to the running of the club. Debts that LCFC and other clubs take on themselves... rather than shuffling the debt off to Milan Mandaric Ltd, which then goes bust without paying the creditors.

Obviously not easy for us to preach, but the whole reason these parent companies are set up is to do exactly what they are doing if things go wrong. They have, so Southampton fc should have to pay the penalty... unless they want to take on all related debt from the parent company for the stadium etc.

Derby have already done this and weren't punished so they'd have difficulty doing it. Not that I agree with the punishment.

I know they have... and it's completely bang out of order it's allowed. All the shit we went through and the resentment we still receive, yet what these clubs are doing is even worse IMO.

I agree, however the day they ban those getting these clubs in difficulty from being associated with a football club, like Elsom will bethe day I take the FL and Mulwhinney seriously and might reluctantly agree with the punishment albeit with lesser points.

With the current system the only ones being punished are the fans.

I'd be interested to know how complicit Hoos was in Southamptons demise :dunno:

Some of the chants we come up with yesterday were classic

'How does it feel to be soo skint'

'You're not gonna be here next year'

Whilst I don't wish for them to go out of business, if they get relegated and suffer, I wouldn't cry a single tear. We were always shit at their place, and it's a place I only have bad memories of. Hate the place, hate the ground, hate the stewards. **** them.

Wit of the highest order right there.

One of their stewards gave me £3 so I could have enough for a ticket, what a guy.

No, their stewards are c*nts of the highest order. It's very, very rare for an away fan to have an enjoyable encounter with them and when most of them get laid off, I'll be delighted.

Although we had like about 50 Police with our fans cos of about 20 of our fans wanted to be 'ard nuts and started throwing abuse at the Saints fans.

The stewards at Southampton were worse than the notoriously Nazi Plymouth stewards in my opinion. They really do believe they are the dogs.
