I don' like playing mid-season databases so this is from release / pach databases not from the .3:

I'm working on the assumption that you're in the Prem (hence uber team) but I can bring you some other suggestions if not.

Robert Lewandowski (~1m) - Keirrison (runs out of contract in May the first season, can't sign until it expires so talk him up and he'll refuse to rejoin Cortiba.)

Helder Barbosa (AML, available for less than £1m at the start of the second season. On loan in the first), Tales (AMC, buy early from Internacional for ~1.5m, had him come for as little as 400k), Morgan Schneiderlin (MC "The Next Platini", brilliant and fast learning DMC, ~2mish first season from Soton), Daniel Candeias (AMR less than 1m, first season, Porto)

That's your strikers and your midfield sorted, all of these players (with the exception of Keirrison who's a known quantity) are known as "-9/-10s" which means they've got phenominal potential. Lewandowski and Schneiderlin will appear on the game as Championship quality from the offset but if you give them first team experience they develop immensely quickly into Premiership players. Tales will load up instantly looking quality (usually.)

Candeias has been hit and miss on my loads but I've some screenshots of him in the 2nd or 3rd season where he's been immense, likewise Barbosa who was edging Christiano Ronaldo out of the Portugal side at one point.

I recently started a game with Fulham and as soon as I could get anyone to buy my Zamora and Andy Johnson (combined £21m) I went straight for these:

They're somewhat more expensive but they're absolutely world class from the off. Thiago Silva (5m*, world class defender, one of the best that'll be in the Prem - came to Fulham, so not high standards) Andre-Pierre Gignac (Fantastic all-round striker. Learns quickly, too, improved notably in a few months on the right training schedule. Strong, fastish (15s) can finish, can head, very good goalscorer - also £5m*) and Falcao (my last £5m signing, another one that develops a lot but starts at Prem standard anyway. Just beat Liverpool 1 - 6 at Anfield with him bagging three.)

*Had to add in clauses for a few of them, like 20% sell on fees. Oh and put your prejudices asside, Joe Mattock is one of the best LBs on the entire game.

A few choice screens:

Morgan Schneiderlin:

(Brought on that load for £1m when Soton went into admin.)

Robert Lewandowski:

lewandowski.png

(Brought on that load for ~1m, mid first season, Leicester.)

Helder Barbosa:

barbosa.png

(Brought on that load for 2m, 3rd maybe even 4th season. Could have been way better and cheaper if I'd had from the start.)

Tales:

(Wub him. Same as Barbosa in terms of value / ability and timing of purchace.)

*Stops breaking the thread*

You're doing something massively wrong. His stats aren't generated they're all fixed as far as I'm aware. He's fast straight away and learns fairly quickly, his finishing will go up as high as 16 by the end of the first season alone.

Phenominal striker. Took him a little while to adapt to the Prem on my load compared to Gignac but they were the Prem's two top scorers on my most recent game. I was almost proud. :P

I can pretty much vouch for all of Finners' recommendations. Here are a few more should you need it:

Strikers that are cheap at the beginning of the game and become top class very quickly:

Eugene Selezniyov (Shaktar)

Henri Anier (Flora Tallinn)

Daniel Aquino (Murcia)

Midfielders that are extremely cheap and young (also future top class players):

Mascio (AlbinoLeffe)

Sérgio Oliveira (Porto)

Defenders:

Carlos Tordoya (Bolivar) - has potential to become good, but varies each game

Nicolas N'Koulou

Nikita Chicherin

Semi-expensive players, but top notch:

Thomas Vermaelen

Steven Defour

Alex Teixeira

Rafa van der Vaart

Bruno Alves

Felipe

Wijnaldum

Saivet (if you get him early)

Yohann Cabaye

Very expensive and among the best:

Federico Fazio

Marek Hamsik

Cristian Rodriguez

Lucho Gonzalez

Gökhan Inler

Joao Moutinho

Yury Zhirkov

Darijo Srna

Anier was very useful for me in League One and the Championship, First season in the Prem with Leicester though he's on loan at West Ham in the Championship. I have far too many strikers though Lewandowski, Alberto Bueno who i got when in the Championship for about 700k from Castilla, Diego Costa who i got from Athletico on a bosman the press were saying he's the next Kaka.(although that did vanish a month after signing for me) lol

I have Wijnaldum too, Cost me £5m but their board accepted so probably could have been less.

Marvin Angulo Bordon tearing up the right wing for about £1.5m

Most i paid was for Leo £11m from Gremio, Great CB.

Forgot Stancu. lol

Who is brilliant?

I want to build an uber-team on the cheap.

LB Michal Kadlec. 70k. Still plays in the prem for me. Last season got 7.2 average, played like 40 games.

Bid £0 for Matty Collins (MC) from Swansea they should accept and he does a good job.

Marquinhos - Amazing player got him for 5m in 2nd season with Leicester now worth 17m, when I had the game save.

Keirrison - Quality striker.

Gerson - 15/16 start of the game, quality CB.

Haven't had any of those... but basically any Arsenal first team player is among the very best: Adebayor, Fabregas, Eduardo, RVP, Walcott, Vela. Besides, was only naming players that might not be that obvious to the casual player?

Fair enough. Going slightly off point a while back Joe Mattock went to Chelsea for something like 12m. Suprised when that happened tbh.

Anyway, If we are going for the more well known players then I dunno really, Micah Richards at Man City, David N'gog at Liverpool randomly turns amazing and maybe Anderson at Man Utd?

Or are they too unrealistic to sign?

I ended up getting £12mil for him through luck, sold him for £3mil + 50% of next transfer in League One (bad move I know, but he was playing poorly), bet you could imagine the smile on my face when he went to Man City for £18mil :giggle:
