Tilley Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 LCFC will ban anyone who enters the playing area? Truth is, if a handful go on, the rest will follow, it is just a matter of who's got a pair to go first.
davieG Posted 21 April 2009 Author Posted 21 April 2009 Celebration Time! Posted on: Tue 21 Apr 2009 Supporters attending Friday night's League One fixture against S****horpe United at the Walkers Stadium will be able to join in with the title winning celebrations. The Foxes will be presented with the League One trophy following the game - but there will be plenty of other events taking place on the night to mark the prestigious occasion. Supporters are urged to arrive at the stadium early to take in everything that is on offer. There will be a huge video screen based outside the City Megastore to greet supporters which will contain messages from Chairman Milan Mandaric, manager Nigel pearson and Club Ambassador Alan Birchenall - while the club will also be unveiling their new 2009-11 home kit on the screen on the night - as modelled by Steve Howard, Max Gradel and Matt Oakley. Face painters will also be on hand to help the kids to look the part - while there will be beach balls dotted around the inside the stadium to add to the occasion. The Birch will be setting off on his 29th annual charity run in aid of The Special Olympics, The NHS Trust and Everyman at 6pm - and fans will no doubt be keen to give him all the encouragement they can from the terraces. The match will then kick off at 7:45pm - with Leicester looking to continue their impressive run of form that has seen them record victories in their previous three fixtures. The Birch will be getting up off the treatment table at half time to host a Legends 'Hit The Crossbar' challenge - with a number of famous faces already confirmed. Supporters are asked not to encroach on the playing surface at the end of the game. Following the final whistle, the players will exit the pitch to the dressing room before coming back out again to receive the trophy - in front of a fantastic pyrotechnic display. The players and staff will then do a lap of honour around the pitch to end the evening and show their thanks to the fans for the support that they have shown throughout the campaign.
JakeShingler Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 Knowing my luck ill be the only twat to run on get arrested and get a 10 year ban.
Munzie Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 It's not often football fans get the opportunity to celebrate successes like this (even if it's winning the 3rd division). The scenes at Wolves at the weekend looked immense. Impromptu outpouring of love for their team. We'll probably see more of them up and down the country as promotion/play-off positions are secured. It's not as if a pitch invasion happens every bloody week. So, instead of showing some spontaneous support for our team and Manager by joining them on the pitch, embracing and singing songs and chants, we get some limp fireworks, Chelsea Dagger played at 300 decibels and threatened with a ban if we even harm a blade of grass! My only conclusion for the club wanting muted, reserved and staged celebrations is to preserve the pitch for the fcuking egg-chasers the following day. They are really starting to p*ss me off.
The Doctor Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 He is not on cuches and doesnt even have a limp. great. wreck my fun why don't you. Besides it was a joke.
Alexikokopops Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 Face painters will also be on hand to help the kids to look the part :w00t:
Hitesh Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 Anyone got a rough idea when all the "celebrations" will finish? My last train is at 22.49 and I'm guessing it takes about 20 mins walk at a quick pace to get to the station! Seeing as the match will finish about 9.30ish will they be done by 10.20ish?! Or is that just wishful thinking?

Or is that just wishful thinking? The match probably won't finish till just before 9.45pm in reality will it, It should finish at 9.30pm but it never seems to be that way, always seems nearer 9.45pm for some reason. So then I reckon your going to wait 15 - 30 mins for everything to get a podium thing set up for the presentation, the pyrotechnics, e.t.c, then you have the celebrations, then the lap of honour, unfortunately I think you'll be cutting it fine, sorry. Don't take my word for it, just stay aslong as you think you can and enjoy what you do see!
samjohnson Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 clem will hobble in with his crutches, cripple oakley as he is about to lift the cup, pick it up himself, drop the crutches and run off proving that he wasn't injured at all. the trophy will appear on ebay the following day. And id be one of the first to put a bid in

True! I could go home instead back to Brum which I may just do so I can stay and enjoy it all! Also, I'm planning to come from Brum before the game - anyone going from here??
Ruralfox Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 Yeah it will be facing the prawnies in the West Stand OK I will own up, I sit in the West stand but I eat my home produced cheese and onion sandwiches and drink from a bottle of tap water; occasionally I might splash out and buy a coffee. As a vegetarian I could not look a prawn in the face. But I do think the presentation should be made facing the KOP because you make far more noise than everyone else and I am sure that the team have been lifted by the Kop (including the travelling section at the away matches) throughout the season and that Gradel and Howard were responding to your chants when they scored that winning goal against Leeds.
Matt Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 Didn't 'Lee Hughes' say on the Phone-In last night something about a football match outside or footballs outside so fans can have a kick about outside the stadium on Friday. That sounds pretty good, Although it will probably be the inflatable thing where you kick footballs through the holes that they always have outside the stadium.

samjohnson Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 Id be up for a quick game before the match - It would be a good idea to do that... Also heard about a big screen outside the megastore with pre-recorded messages from Milan, Nigel and Birch
