Hope they turn out to be based on fact.. Where did you hear that? when fully fit he would easily be the best left back in the championship Hes left/centre mid.

I honestly don't know why everyone thinks he'd be an awesome signing, I've seen him live about 3/4 times live now and he's never stood out. Didn't do particularly well last season.

Thing is, can Southampton seriously say no to £500k atm? They are hardly in a financial position to ask for that much.

Im guessing he wanted to stay in lahndahn On a side note Sheff Wed are trying to loan Anichebe on loan from Everton. Would love to see him at Leicester. Very powerful striker.
Joe. Posted 16 June 2009 Posted 16 June 2009 Surman was off to Forest a couple of weeks back. And Newcastle. And about three other Championship clubs, so I wouldn't read too much into it. Southampton fans seem to think he's a bit overrated as well I believe.
