Matt Posted 14 May 2009 Posted 14 May 2009 Leicester City Football Club is offering all supporters the opportunity to get their hands on the Coca-Cola League One trophy.This Saturday (May 16th) from 9am-5pm and again on Sunday between 10am-2pm, the trophy will be in the Leicester City Megastore and City fans will be able to bring their own camera along and be photographed with the trophy. Club Mascot, Filbert Fox will be in attendance as well. Chris Tinbergen, Head of Consumer Sales, said: “This is a unique opportunity for City supporters to share in the success that they have directly contributed to. It is also the first of a number of events that the club have planned for the trophy over the summer as we look to take the title out in to the community. “The weekend will be a fun event for all of the family and will offer fans the chance to create and keep their own piece of City history.”

I was quite lucky, it was really quiet when I went, just after I joined the queue everyone joined! I was surprised I thought there would be a huge queue when I went at about 11.30am. Saw Bernie down the shop aswell, He didn't queue to see the trophy, he just mingled round the shop, looking at the beach balls and frisbies, maybe he was planning what to take on his summer holidays?

Mind you I thought about this when I was going home, would that be the rael actual trophy or would it be a replica - I.e - Further on from the other thread discussing if we got to keep the real one for a year and then we had a replica for when we return it.
Webbo Posted 19 May 2009 Posted 19 May 2009 I've been told that the trophy will be touring the all ASDAs in Leicester if anyone's interested. I'll post the dates on here when I find out.
