john_lcfc Posted 4 May 2005 Posted 4 May 2005 well u dont have to say who u are but who does n doesnt.
Frenzied Posted 4 May 2005 Posted 4 May 2005 Used to smoke about 20 a day, then gave up for several about three years ago. Since then it's crept back into a kind of smoking when I drink thing. Although I've given up completely again today. Well hopefully anyway.
Wellman Posted 4 May 2005 Posted 4 May 2005 Have never touched a cigerette in my life and don't intend to either
Steven Posted 4 May 2005 Posted 4 May 2005 If other substances which cause less harm are illegal then I think tobacco should also be made illegal.

They're highly highly addictive too. Wish I'd never started 'cause it's so difficult to kick. Hope the government does end up banning smoking in public places.
Solihullfox Posted 4 May 2005 Posted 4 May 2005 Gave up 2 and a half years ago having smoked 20 a day and more when out for a beer, over a period of twenty years. You would not believe how many coughs, colds and other illnesses I had for over a year after I packed in. Just shows how badly affected the immune system is by the evil weed. Feel so well now I try not to be the reformed smoking preacher but if I can give advice to anyone who is thinking about smoking - BLOODY DON'T !!!!!!! Just as an afterthought- I put the £5 it would have cost me a day in a jar for a year or so. It paid for a 14 day holiday in a 5 star deluxe hotel in the Caribbean.
Ricey Posted 4 May 2005 Posted 4 May 2005 I used to smoke a lot when I was at school a couple of years back, used to smoke ever lunch time down the end of the field I gave up when I left school but breifly started again last year but now I am clean and I won't ever touch them again. All I remember of the last ciggerete I ever had was it leaving me feeling sick.
Durnerz Posted 4 May 2005 Posted 4 May 2005 Sometimes when i've been drunk but its bad for me so I don't
shen Posted 4 May 2005 Posted 4 May 2005 I smoke occasionally...like once or twice a month when I'm out socialising. It's not something I do otherwise though. Without wanting to promote cigarettes or drugs otherwise, it gives me a happy feeling smoking in small doses But it sure leaves a disgusting taste the next day!
CasinoGee Posted 4 May 2005 Posted 4 May 2005 Smoking while socialising I think is fine, what I don't get is how people can be addicted? It's the stupidest habit ever!
Chimp Posted 4 May 2005 Posted 4 May 2005 Yes, I smoke and I really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really wish I didn't. Now that I'm playing footy twice a week it really kicks in after about 20 mins, I've got loads of energy but can't get my breath. I've tried so many different ways to give up in the past but I always fail, which is weird as I have quite a lot of will power. Damn nicotene. Anyway, a friend of a friend recommended hypnosis as a way to quit as it worked wonders for him - I'm going to give it a try.
Cobbo Posted 4 May 2005 Posted 4 May 2005 I don't smoke. My dad did and now after having cancer has no tongue and lives on a diet of milkshakes. A good motivator to never start up or to quit if you happen to smoke I'd say.
Teeno Posted 9 May 2005 Posted 9 May 2005 Like alot of people I only ever smoke when I've drank heavly. I did start smoking regularly a months or so ago but I did my best to stop it before it was to late and I haven't smoked for almost 3 weeks now, I don't really like fags but when I 'm in a pub atmosphere i seem to get cravings for them.
Guest Posted 9 May 2005 Posted 9 May 2005 I don't smoke, and I certainly don't want to breathe in other people's cigarettes.
