Suffolk_fox Posted 26 March 2007 Posted 26 March 2007 1 day after clock change combined with half a day of sunshine and im crying like a baby not to mention the sneezes, half a box of tissues today so far.........has anyone got any advice? Eat some local honey. Has to be local, so that it contains local pollen. You will be immune to the stuff shortly after. Works like magic. I thank you....

I thank you.... really? oddly there is a bit of logic there, i think! how local, how much and how often?
Daggers Posted 26 March 2007 Posted 26 March 2007 Failing that, smear some local honey all over your nose to trap the pollen from going down your nasal passages.

Daggers Posted 26 March 2007 Posted 26 March 2007 and the cying like a baby will it cure that 2? ...no idea - ask Ultra how he controls his outbreaks when they happen Only joking, Ultra
Suffolk_fox Posted 26 March 2007 Posted 26 March 2007 really? oddly there is a bit of logic there, i think! how local, how much and how often? Just a spoon or 2, everyday or a couple of honey sandwiches. Try and get it from a farm, as it really needs to be 'unfiltered' honey. Oh, and I have heard anything from 50 to 30 miles as to localness...
blue blood Posted 26 March 2007 Author Posted 26 March 2007 suffolk, cheers dude....i will find my nearest honey farm....will post results

Guest Posted 28 March 2007 Posted 28 March 2007 1 day after clock change combined with half a day of sunshine and im crying like a baby not to mention the sneezes, half a box of tissues today so far.........has anyone got any advice? Hah! I've been suffering for about a month! I blame global warming.
blue blood Posted 28 March 2007 Author Posted 28 March 2007 global warming is a myth the suns' temperature goes up and down - its a fact.
lookwhaticando Posted 28 March 2007 Posted 28 March 2007 global warming is a myth the suns' temperature goes up and down - its a fact. If the Sun's temperature is changing, then surely global warming isn't a myth. Global warming is real... what's disputed is the cause of it. Are humans the sole cause, or do we just make things that little bit worse.
lcfc_jme Posted 28 March 2007 Posted 28 March 2007 I have this. Which severely hampers my pre-season preparations.
Wils Posted 28 March 2007 Posted 28 March 2007 I have this. Which severely hampers my pre-season preparations. Have you got the sniffles ?
lcfc_jme Posted 28 March 2007 Posted 28 March 2007 Have you got the sniffles ? Feck off! I've been fine today but as the grass starts getting cut and the temperatures start warming up, I'm going to suffer. I fooking hate it!!

DB11 Posted 28 March 2007 Posted 28 March 2007 I don't get hayfever but that honey trick sounds very logical
MC Prussian Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 It used to be worse when I was younger (say about 10 years ago). Nowadays, all I notice is that my eyes are more dry than usually and that my nose runs more often during the closing weeks of March and the start of April.
