stez Posted 6 April 2007 Posted 6 April 2007 1 day after clock change combined with half a day of sunshine and im crying like a baby not to mention the sneezes, half a box of tissues today so far.........has anyone got any advice? Feck off! I've been fine today but as the grass starts getting cut and the temperatures start warming up, I'm going to suffer. I fooking hate it!! this stuff rules when it comes to hayfever (and the like; cat allergies, dust allergies etc) Eat some local honey. Has to be local, so that it contains local pollen. You will be immune to the stuff shortly after. Works like magic.I thank you.... i've heard of this local honey 'cure' but i can't stand honey, so i've never actually tried it, maybe one day when my liver is threatening to pack up, i'll go for the honey option!
Tevez Posted 3 June 2007 Posted 3 June 2007 Well this is one of the reasons i'm not looking forward to the summer this year. Hayfever pisses me off to the max,
Bert Posted 3 June 2007 Posted 3 June 2007 Also another thing that makes me glad that i don't have it, is that i won't be moaning about it. Because all you ever hear is "hayfever this" "hayfever that"
Babylon Posted 3 June 2007 Posted 3 June 2007 Also another thing that makes me glad that i don't have it, is that i won't be moaning about it.Because all you ever hear is "hayfever this" "hayfever that" Feck off...

stez Posted 3 June 2007 Posted 3 June 2007 Well this is one of the reasons i'm not looking forward to the summer this year. Hayfever pisses me off to the max, i've been living with hayfever for 3 or 4 weeks now. it's been tough, but i'm getting by on a combination therapy of cetirizine dihydrochloride, paracetamol and ibuprofen Also another thing that makes me glad that i don't have it, is that i won't be moaning about it.Because all you ever hear is "hayfever this" "hayfever that" <_<
stez Posted 3 June 2007 Posted 3 June 2007 Do the tablets work? the cirtrizine do a great job, i'd go to your doctor and get them on prescription, you'll get more. 5 quid for 7 piriton is ridiculous.
Tevez Posted 3 June 2007 Posted 3 June 2007 yeh think im going to take a trip to the local pharmacy tommorow as i have study leave. will give me something to do. Thanks for that
lookwhaticando Posted 3 June 2007 Posted 3 June 2007 I get it some years... and others I don't. 1995 was sensationally bad for me. Last year was actually quite a breeze... here's to hoping for another year without having to nibble on vast amounts of Reactine.
stez Posted 15 June 2007 Posted 15 June 2007 Eat some local honey. Has to be local, so that it contains local pollen. You will be immune to the stuff shortly after. Works like magic.I thank you.... Have you got the sniffles ? ha ha! i've not heard 'sniffles' for around 40 years! an excellent and long over due return the cirtrizine do a great job, i'd go to your doctor and get them on prescription, you'll get more. 5 quid for 7 piriton is ridiculous. i've run out of tablets, this rain is doing my head in bringing down all the pollen, i've got the sniffles large style, but i'm still not resorting to honey!
lookwhaticando Posted 16 June 2007 Posted 16 June 2007 Not a good start to the season for me. My working environment has hindered me big style... it's hot, and I've worked in a very well ventilated area, so there's no escape from the pollen. Worse, the area I've been working has been quite dusty, too, which only serves to make the sneezing even worse. Thankfully, tomorrow I'll be tucked safely indoors for most of the shift, so I shouldn't be affected too much until I leave... :pinch: Perhaps tomorrow I'll take some Reactine to stave off the itchy eyes (the most annoying of the symptoms). Sneezing I can cope with... itchy eyes I can't. I blame the French for all this.
filbertboy Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 this is the first year I have ever had it. Running nose and streaming eyes....they water all the time and if I touch em they swell up. its gonna be a long summer

cisono Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 My mom thought that and she's only come down with it and shes 37.Beware it might eventually catch you one day. Sorry to hear that! I am aware of several cases of people in their 30s developing hayfever (or some allergies) out of the blue. Not good...
