davidhenson44 Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 I am pleased to announce that ‘Heroes in Blue and White’ is now available as a charity download! There are two versions of the song available i) the original YouTube version and ii) the fully instrumented and ‘mastered’ version, which was played before kick-off at the last three home games of last season, which sounds absolutely brilliant. Each track is available at £0.99 and all proceeds are going to LOROS, a Leicestershire-based charity that provides hospice care and support for adults with complex illnesses and terminal and respite care needs. LOROS’s name will be appearing on the City away shirt for the 2009/10 season. LOROS relies on the generosity of individuals, businesses, organisations and groups to help fund the hospice and as supporters of Leicester City, we can help to make a real difference to the service and to the local people who benefit from it. The tracks, both in mp3 format, are available from the fundraising section of the LOROS website itself. To download them, please visit http://www.loros.com/fundraising/ following the link on the left to the Music Store where you can pay using a credit/debit card or via PayPal. I wrote the song as an amusing and nostalgic look back at the players who have played for our great club but now since so many City fans seem to have enjoyed it, I think it would be great if we could take this opportunity to make a really tidy sum of money for an extremely worthwhile cause. I'll try to keep everyone updated with how much we've raised. Enjoy the songs and thank-you for your support!

I really hope the club get on board with this next season, continue to play the song and plug the fact its available for download with proceds going to LOROS. They should mention it in the program too. Have you thought about contacting the mercury again to see if they will mention the fact its available for download on behalf of charity? May i also make the polite request to the mods & Admins that as this is now a project where the proceeds are going to a local charity ( a very good one at that), that should the new version me uploaded onto youtube they delete mention of it? thus increasing the profits of LOROS.

Matt Posted 28 May 2009 Posted 28 May 2009 I suppose if your charging a pound your cost of materials (CD's, Cases, e.t.c) might be to expensive to do this i'm not sure but have you looked into selling any in the shop? As I say i'm not sure how much it would cost in the first place and whether it would be a worthwhile amount left to go to the charity then but maybe worth looking at?
