As a matter of fact, I do own that Final Fantasy album. Owen Pallett no longer goes by the name of FF, but has just recently released a new album, "Heartland":

The Grammatics are a so-so in my book of taste.

Tried any of that Local Natives or Phantogram flavour yet? It's good.

I thought Heartland was supposed to be his last as Final Fantasy, the lying git. Yeah i keep going back to Grammatics because Joe loves them so much, and i do like the singers voice for a few songs.

Local Natives i've tried but haven't really gotten into yet and i'll definately check out Phantogram based on the 'Related Artists' on Spotify.

Working my way through the Pitchfork Top 100 for 2009 at the moment. Meriwether Post Pavillion is owning it alongside Phoenix.

The Grammatics album is brilliant in my opinion. Broken Wing and Cruel Tricks of the Light are superb tracks, love them. They supported Bloc Party on a recent tour, so hopefully they'll get themselves a bit more attention soon enough.

Had previously completely avoided Th Kills because i saw them support Bloc Party in '05 and they were fooking terrible. But i heard 'Cheap And Cheerful' last year and loved it without knowing who i was listening to. Checked it out and discovered how much better they'd gotten since they dropped the whole 'miserable minimalist morons' schtick. Liking this album now. Plus Alsion Mosshart is well worth a punch in the whiskers.

A load of posh frickers havin a party but you canna grumble, it's a classic. I went to one of these gigs at Birmingham Symphony Hall (think it's called that) about 7 year ago with my Grandad and I wore me Adidas hoodie and a Diadora hat! Felt a bit of a twat but it was a good night and me Grandad was buzzin, hero.
