I'd hate to be the person who finds the bodies :|. I'd feel sick.

me too , but i console myself with the fact that they are highly unlikely to be washed up ashore on the grand union canal ;

i thought there would be more terrorist / conspiracy theories flying around by now !!

I'm getting really worried now, and flying doesn't usually bother me. I keep on thinking what went on in the minds of the crew and passengers as the plane fell to pieces around them. :(

I know, Im flyin alone to Greece next saturday and keep having morbid thoughts. :unsure:

Im sure they would have all been unconscious by then?

Two planes had took the exact same route and were ok less than 30 minutes earlier.

I took the same route about four years ago. I've flew quite a bit and turbulence is just something that happens.

Aye, tell me about it.

Flying for the first time ever on Tuesday, and I keep visualising what it must have been like and although I know it's irrational, I'm becoming anxious at something similar happening.

I know I'm only going to be flying for all of 40 minutes, and travelling such a short distance means less altitude or whatever, but my generalised anxiety is fully active again.

Because we were not designed to fly like birds, whenever we get into a “flying machine” we have to confront our deepest fears of human vulnerability. It’s not so much that flying is “unnatural,” but that in finding ourselves way up in the sky, sealed in a machine, we can hear our deepest whisperings of vulnerability more clearly than anywhere else.

Well even if they were alive they would have died on the impact of the plane hitting the sea. The pilot wouldn't have been able to land it (the Hudson River thing was very lucky) so it would have been like hitting the land and they'd have died from that alone.

But the pressure will have made them unconscious, I guess.
