Fox You Forest Posted 6 June 2009 Posted 6 June 2009 Maybe the houson sun really isnt getting to me and the west indies do have a chance. They won't sustain it, they never do.
Ultra Posted 6 June 2009 Posted 6 June 2009 Will those who point to the ashes every bloody time we lose do the same after an aussie thrashing? Unlikely...Nice one windies 1) The Aussies aren't at home. 2) They played a team with a proven record in Twenty20 cricket.
Milky Posted 6 June 2009 Posted 6 June 2009 1) The Aussies aren't at home.2) They played a team with a proven record in Twenty20 cricket. If we'd lost to windies today the ashes comments would come out. It happens every time we lose a game.
Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 7 June 2009 Posted 7 June 2009 Gayle was outstanding yesterday!!A certain Mr. Vivian Richard's AKA the master blaster would've been proud of that! Pakistan today and the pressure is on so early in the tournament. Read somwhere that Shahid Afridi has been in a horrible mood ever since his performance against India and has spent most of the time batting in the nets.I see him targetting either Broad or Rashid if he does manage to get in. We need to build a decent score against a Pakistan team who's best bowler's are not at this tournament. They do however have a very good batting line up. Akmal, Khan, Shezad, Misbah and Afridi can all change a game.
dandannieldanok Posted 7 June 2009 Posted 7 June 2009 Will those who point to the ashes every bloody time we lose do the same after an aussie thrashing? Unlikely...Nice one windies Well I will, like our defeat, their defeat yesterday is pretty meaningless in the grand scale of things.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 7 June 2009 Posted 7 June 2009 Might keep Roo off our case for a while as well Na I said on one of the earlier pages I didn't rate our chances. Personally I think pakistan should go close. I hope MIcky blueeyes is right and afridi goes nuts got him at 100-1 for most runs in the tournament aswell as chris gayle at 20-1
Fosse Boy Posted 7 June 2009 Posted 7 June 2009 Safe to say Scotland are out. What a catch. It really was. Come on England!
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 7 June 2009 Posted 7 June 2009 Seems we've managed to silence the 'home crowd' a little for now!
Craig Posted 7 June 2009 Posted 7 June 2009 Just as i was typing 'this is more like it!' 62-2 Good effort though Wright.
Fox You Forest Posted 7 June 2009 Posted 7 June 2009 Spinners should never be bowling no-balls. It's a decent start, KP needs to stay in for as long as possible.
davieG Posted 7 June 2009 Posted 7 June 2009 A ball where no runs are scored. Presumably because they put a Dot in the scorecard
Fox You Forest Posted 7 June 2009 Posted 7 June 2009 Presumably because they put a Dot in the scorecard Yep.
