Corky Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 What a farce. I can't believe it. Well done Holland, thoroughly deserved.
purpleronnie Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 I swear to you I predicted exactly that would happen. I was talking to my dad and said just as the last ball was bowled we'll do what we did (I think against the aussies) where they ran one we over threw and they came back to win. I swear I knew that would happen. I'm going to get a lottery ticket now. Only could happen to england, just mind blowing.
Corky Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 We didn't get enough. Rashid bowled poorly, get Macherenas, Swann and Pietersen in for Pakistan. I'm furious.
purpleronnie Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 I still cant belive I predicted that, please someone else tell me they thought something like that would happen, I've weirded myself out.

dandannieldanok Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 Wooo Netherlands I fear I am in the minority here No you're not mate, I personally find this result absolutely hilarious!
Fox You Forest Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 Great entertainment though. Well done Netherlands. We let enough chances go towards the end to get a win Sorry Craig.
Brainy Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 It was against New Zealand. Last summer? Thought it did. Ronnie - fook off. We all know you love it when England lose.
Corky Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 Wooo Netherlands I fear I am in the minority here In previous tournaments I may have just laughed it off, if we had five or six more matches to play, but we've got one. I really had a feeling we would do something this time, get to the semis and play some entertaining cricket, go out with pride.
purpleronnie Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 I dont I hate it, I was nervous as hell, but I dont know why I Bother. Rashid sounded like he bowled terribly, my dad kept saying he pitched it left and span it left...why? pitch it right you moron.
Milky Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 I know it's easy to say now, but i'm not convinced by the selection. That middle order is missing a napier type whacker.
DB11 Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 I thought this was a friendly. When it was "2 runs to win from 1 ball" I wanted them to get the two runs!! Plus the fact I hate cricket may have something to say as to why I couldn't care less

But suit yourself..

I agree I think we had prety good batting lineup but we needed like you said another 'whacker', especially against the likes of holland we shouldnt need to be able to bat down to 8th...maybe against the aussies but not holland. It really was lost in the last few overs of englands innings, but even then I didnt expect us to lose. I wonder what odds you could have got. I dont know if to laugh or cry.
purpleronnie Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 Broad tried to be the hero and now looks an idiot. It was odd, he should have thrown it when he didnt then he shouldnt have thrown it but did. I reckon he had money on it. Just kiddin.
Fox You Forest Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 It is easy to say now but Napier should have replaced KP. Key did nothing he was puffing hard after running his first 2.
Ultra Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 Stuart Broad really can't play international 20-20 cricket, can he? He got smashed for six sixes in an over by Yuvraj in the last tournament, and now he's produced a car-crash of a final over against the Dutch. The Aussies must be p!ssing themselves. With him in the side there's not a hope in hell of taking the Ashes off them. Thank God he doesn't play for Leicestershire anymore.
davieG Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 With only 3 teams in our group does that mean it's pretty much over ofr us even if we beat Pakistan?
Milky Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 Surely Broad must've known it went to a super over if tied. Surely Broad! jesus.
