I'm 9st. lol

I can't imagine a fully grown man being 9 stone but hey. There is a lad who i work with who claims to be a full on bodybuilder and everything, and he's 10 stone...he needs to get real.

I'm 12st 9lbs I think, if we are giving weights out.

Like my main man LD said they don't arrive as Superstars they just leave as them, Henry, Ronaldo, Owen, Beckham and probably a few more to that list.

But I take it this thread was to cause an argument over which League attracts the most 'Superstars'?

Fair play to La Liga for that although when players come here we get the old "only coming to the Premiership for money " but with La Liga it gets forgotten that Kaka and Ronny will be on 200k a week.

I enjoy the Prem over La Liga and couldnt give a fook who agrees or disagrees. Surely its each to thier own

I don't think Fez was trying to start a pissing contest between leagues, to be fair, I think it was just an observation.

Though I think Trev made a good point when he said that even in Europe - the best players don't really often move around a lot in their prime.

:giggle:

Fez knew that the can of worms would be opened up again !!

To be honest with more and more players moving to La Liga its gonna be awesome next season but the Premiership is far from finished.

Literally just occurred to me and was wondering, because these top-five best-in-the-world rarely seem to come to the Premiership. And as people have said, that's not necessarily a bad thing at all. Less overspend, more profit etc. It just seems strange as the Sky-proclaimed "Best league in the world", those elite players don't queue up to get a move here.

Obviously I prefer La Liga but I'm as tired of the La Liga v Prem arguments as anyone and this wasn't a stab at that, but has provoked some interesting discussion I think.

No not a bad player at all, but to be honest I was expecting a lot more.

When people say La Liga will be sexy as next year i think what they really mean is, Barcelona & Real Madrid will be sexy as next year, its always been the case in Spain, nobody else could give a flying toss about what the others teams do, and the quality is poor in comparison, the entire Spanish set up is based around this rivalry between Catalonia and ROYAL Madrid, im just glad we don't have that over here.

Watching these two teams is beautiful to watch but as a league, the premier league wins hands down imo, if that wasn't the case this would be reflected in the average attendance at games, global audience and the amount of revenue the PL generates worldwide, its in a whole different league to the rest of the world.....though if thats a good thing or a bad thing is another debate entirely.....

But if Tim Cahill was playing for, say, Sevilla?

I would declare my unconditional love for Seville, not La Liga, just Seville.

Betis > Seville, just saying...
