purpleronnie Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 Next you'll be saying Lord of the rings are good films.
Mikey Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 How so? Misses out big bits. EDIT: Also what C-Man just said.
C-man Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 How so? Well at one point the Burrow is destroyed which I'm almost 100% sure doesn't happen in the book.
Guest Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 Misses out big bits. Couldn't agree more, but also there's significant changes to the story in examples such as the end sequence. Overall, enjoyed it but not the best of the series so far and generally could've been so much better EDIT: Yes C-man, you're right.
Part Of The Crowd Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 Firstly, it does follow the book quite accurately for the most part, but there are obviously bits that have been put in to give it some more action and others have been taking out for time saving measures. It was quite a good film, it developed the characters more than the other films have done rather than just being action, which for me was something critical missing from the books, the characters weren't all that believable. I loved the idiot that came out behind me who obviously didn't realise that it was made from a book. 'What the hell was that ending all about, I mean, come on? They should have a poster outside the cinema that says crap film don't go and watch it! They're blatently not going to make any more films now, they've already done 6. I'm pissed off.' That made me giggle.

Samilktray Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 How the hell could they follow the book exactly, the film would of been about 6 hours long Great film I thought, I watch the films as seperate things from the books now, makes them far better to me, Draco is a jerk, and Snape is by far the biggest Jerk of the whole series. I was very close to shedding a tear for Dumbledore at the end, tear jerking stuff. Cant wait for the Deathly Hallows now, although thats supposed to be split up into 2 films, hopefully they don't release them a year apart. Best film of the series for me.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 and that might be the saddest thing i've ever read in my life...
Part Of The Crowd Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 I don't agree with that, They changed a hell of a lot! Relative to the previous films this follows it exactly. The dialogue was also quite true to the text. Of course it had to be changed a bit to keep up with the character development that had been neglected in previous films.

Agreed on everything, but... Snape is the biggest legend of the series. The DH movies are out November '10 and July '11.

Bryn Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 Next you'll be saying Lord of the rings are good films. Are you having a fucking laugh?! They're epic, just epic, the amount of effort they put in was immense and the final result was astounding in my opinion. Well at one point the Burrow is destroyed which I'm almost 100% sure doesn't happen in the book. What is this blasphemy?!
Samilktray Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 Snape did the dirty on Dumbledore, cant forgive him for that shit. And Lord Of The Rings is awesome, Aragorn is the don.
GLC Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 Snape did the dirty on Dumbledore, cant forgive him for that shit. And Lord Of The Rings is awesome, Aragorn is the don. Dumbledore was dying anyway, He asked Snape to kill him instead of Draco
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 I enjoy the Harry Potter films. Good family fun.
