My internet has been as frustrating as **** this evening and I've fallen out with BT, who incidently told me it wasn't their fault, as I had a virus on my laptop, despite the fact my iphone, PS3, desktop and two laptops were unable to connect to the net at any speed faster than that of a slug.

So I decided to run a speed test for the first time ever at the following link: SPEED TEST

I now have speeds of :

Speed Down - 1677.76 Kbps ( 1.6 Mbps )

Speed Up - 373.81 Kbps ( 0.4 Mbps )

Earlier tonight these were as low as 0.1 Mbps a second!!

What's your speed? Just to make me feel jealous like.

Switched from ADSL (due to bad copper lines, was only getting 6mbit down and 800kbit up) to Cable-network (same as TV) - good stuff, got 20mbit down and 3,2mbit up.

9.75Mbps/0.51Mbps.

No idea what speed it's sold as... they keep changing it every few months. One month it's supposed to be a 7 the next they're introducing a faster line... then the next month the faster line becomes a product that's higher than the highest product, so it theoretically drops back to being a 7 meg connection.

Apparently, it's nearly ten meg... best not tell Rogers, they might try charge me that extra $15 a month over the 7 meg'er. lol
