Sparky Posted 12 July 2009 Posted 12 July 2009 Saw this in the paper friday , 1 in a million chance !!
Fox You Forest Posted 12 July 2009 Posted 12 July 2009 Casually pulls it out the pocket. Very lucky/unlucky.
Hitesh Posted 12 July 2009 Posted 12 July 2009 I heard this on TMS the other day and didn't understand how it could have happened - amazing really! Unlucky for the batsman!
Jordan Posted 13 July 2009 Posted 13 July 2009 Haha. Gotta love how the bowler gives the batsman a sympathetic pat on the back. "Unlucky, mate."
Corky Posted 13 July 2009 Posted 13 July 2009 Casually pulls it out the pocket. Very lucky/unlucky. I like the way he looks around the field, then realises the ball is in his pocket
Salieri Posted 13 July 2009 Posted 13 July 2009 Quality! There's one for "what happened next?" on A Question of Sport!
Bluefoxtim Posted 13 July 2009 Posted 13 July 2009 Why don't fielders wear trousers with huge pockets? ........
Basingstoke Fox Posted 13 July 2009 Posted 13 July 2009 I'm really not a fan of cricket but that is just amazing
Guest Posted 13 July 2009 Posted 13 July 2009 I have been told off for asking if a certain someone has seen this. He saw it last week, apparently.
Fosse Boy Posted 13 July 2009 Posted 13 July 2009 Read a ridiculous story about a batsman in the 1800s who ran 22 or something stupid because he hit the ball into his own pad and it lodged in there. If you were to catch a ball in your cap would that count as being "lodged in", or would it be a 5 run penalty as it would be for hitting an item of clothing on the outfield? Cricket really is a funny old game, but that's why I love it.
