SOCCERROO FOX Posted 31 May 2011 Posted 31 May 2011 The transport must've cost a bomb altogether though. I mean, getting from Gardermoen (Airport) to Oslo alone costs about 180 Nkr. And coming from Down Under you must've won the lottery Was on a 18-30 something tour 37 days including most meals staying in mostly cabins and cheap hotels, worked out reasonably well was pretty good value for money as the aussie dollar is good, the meals helped out massively as it's pretty expensive in Scandinavia. All the meals outside of Scandinavia were restaurant meals. This was the itinary.

Lillehamring Posted 1 June 2011 Posted 1 June 2011 It puts into perspective how enormous that building was in comparison to everything else when it was built - genuinely awesome for the time yet in a way it's kind of vulgar and inappropriate... it would be like sticking it in the middle of leicester.

You're right of course but then the USA is lot like that in its culture and ideology, trail-blazers whereas we've evolved slowly even some of the better buildings in Leicester replaced perfectly good architectural sound buildings.
