Aeropars Posted 23 July 2009 Posted 23 July 2009 I'm peeved at the lack of activity also. I thought the idea was to get your squat together before pre-season so you have better gelling time. I'm starting to get a little worried for the season. none of the signing have had me excited. I remember Pearson saying at the end of last season 'we'll have a right good go next season'. cant see that happening with our current squad. Wheres this loan signing mandy said we would be having?? Sort it out! 2 weeks or so until kick off!

SHUT UP! im tired of reading the same bollox again and again and again! give it a rest, you are entitled to your opinion, but when its been said this many times! i literally read the bit in bold and knew what the rest of your post would say! nothing against you personally, but jesus! look for all we know we could be making 5mill bids left right and centre for strikers but we are not barcelona! we cant attract players with a mere whisper of our name! give it time, do you think pearson and mandy are sitting in there offices right now and thinking, 'hmmmm how difficult can we make this for ourselves?'! no, im sure they are trying to do the most they can, with what they have!

Point taken. That said, have a read of Pearsons comments on the OS about Mattock being away on international duty. Quite rightly, he states that he wants his players around him in order to get the most out of pre-season. The more time he can spend with his players, the better prepared we will be. This is even more important in new players joining the team. Transfers, as you point out, are not a walk in the park. I think the fustration in some of the fans is down to the fact that the club moved very quickly at the end of last season to secure the likes of Hobbs and Brown. Statements were being made about how prepared the management team already were in identifying targets. Whilst the transfer activity has continued, obvious gaps in our first team have yet to be addressed. As you say, I would imagine the club are working extremely hard to bring in identified players. The trouble is, pre-season is well under way and time is running out for any new players to gel with our boys.

Sorry, i thought this was a message board where people can post their opinions! My mistake though, it appears to be a breeding ground for retarded Leicester fans who are all correct and dont want to hear other peoples views. Personal or not, people have a right to their say without being told to 'shut up' as you so polietly put it.

Its not the fact that in these posts people are stating these things, yes pre season is running out etc and i agree with them and their opinions are certainly valid but its when they make out its been done almost on purpose, as if we havent been trying to get them in as quick as possible and havent been working hard and that pearson hasnt noticed the players we need.

Personal or not, people have a right to their say without being told to 'shut up' as you so polietly put it. well no, if you knew me, i for one have had various battles regarding the opinions issue! and i apologise if i offended you, i did mean it when i said nothing personal, i just feel sometimes that there are many (too many sometimes) that dont think before they post. I for one am actually fed up of seeing a messageboard, full of people that actually support leicester city, breeding negativity when its our club! fair point pre season is running out and we do need to get players in, but when people are suggesting pearson doesnt know this is beyond belief! again, apologies for that reaction (i dont often do it, i promise ) but can you understand my frustrations? i know the frequent posters will joke (they always do) but id like to think they can understand why. we do get a lot of idiots on here (me being one but i pride myself on it, so shut up!) but fair play for having a go back! MORRIS OUT!
Chrysalis Posted 23 July 2009 Posted 23 July 2009 howard is more capable than fryatt at this level, I think if we had howard and fryatt up front all season howard will outscore fryatt. Even with the age consideration. I think we need 2 strikers, one been a proven goalscorer and the other could be a cheaper speculative signing that just gives us more options.

Karljohn Posted 23 July 2009 Posted 23 July 2009 No need for panic yet, plenty of rubbish moving around, blackstock to forest another example, 6 weeks of the window still to do business...happy days.
john_lcfc Posted 23 July 2009 Posted 23 July 2009 A good known striker could boost the swansea attendance by 2-3000 aswell. Come on NP
